We added a new TV to another room so we needed this. Good for steaming if you don't have a smart TV.

It has two key features I was looking for 1) uses ethernet for better more stable streaming, bummer its only 10/100Mbps, gigabit would have been nicer. 2) capable of being controlled by IR remotes. All in all you can't go wrong, especially at the discounted price. Roku is the one player that has all the streaming apps.

Only downside is hbo max isn’t currently available for it. Would not recommend buying roku for that only downside.

Works well for a spare TV in guest room

She loves having access to lots of programs and I like not paying additional monthly cable fees.
