I bought this just for the capacity to have the spectrum app so I didn't have to pay another fee for an additional cable box... works great! You don't even have to use your spectrum user name and password... it just automatically sees that your in a spectrum wifi account and starts working!

My only issue was the issue with the Roku account hook up. I already had one device and expected plug and play experience but had to go through adding and setting up the new device through my computer. Otherwise this is a great way to cut the cord and control rising cable costs.

was considering AppleTv or this product. the free month with sling promo from bestbuy helped a lot (valid on either device) this device being more affordable made it a good choice. I use this together with Tablo On air DVR, and i really like having the ethernet port available.

A great upgrade for TVs not equipped with the Roku app. Exactly works better than the TVs that contain the built in app

So far very reliable and versatile, I've used it wifi and wired (ethernet) and it set-up and responds well with a lot of features and the Roku channel and many other free selections to watch will keep the average person satisfactorily entertained. I would give it 5 stars but I think the remote could be a little more encompassing with, say, a mute button and better channel surfing capabilities and a "last viewed" button. However, overall a good replacement of a cable tv box. Well done Roku!

You only need the Internet !! Don’t pay for cable anymore! Easy to install. So much to choose from. For additional coverage add an outside movable directional antenna for around $50 (150 mile range). Don’t pay for satellite cable or regular cable anymore! The quality is phenomenal!

The Roku is faster and works well. I do have some problems getting Pureflix to come in. I don't know what is causing it.

Roku streaming is the best way to go. It has the most channels and plays them without a problem. One note, using a Harmony Ultimate remote can sometimes confuse the player, not sure if it is the remote or the Roku. Anyway, just use the remote provided and everything is great.

I realized that I barely watch TV now, I usually watch Netflix or use another streaming service like SlingTV or FuboTV, I think it’s the future of TV and I only pay for why I need without any contract. I choose Roku because it has much more apps avaible than Apple TV or Fire TV.

I used to have an older Roku. I am very glad that I upgraded to this Roku Ultra. Many free apps and much faster.

Bought this on a recommendation from a friend that works for Spectrum. The ROKU comes with the Spectrum app so you don't need to rent the cable box from Spectrum. Bought this on sale for $50 and it saves me money every month. What more can you ask for?!

I’ve considered cutting the Cable TV cord for over a year but didn’t have the guts to try it. Then a recent cable TV price increase pushed me forward. I bought two Roku Media Players and I’m suddenly saving $80 monthly. That’s despite adding Starz and Showtime subscriptions. We now have the option of watching TV live, recording, or at our convenience. Good bye cable. All you need is a broadband connection, Roku, and Hulu(or YouTube) subscription. Cheers.

Had Roku stick + attached to television in upstairs bedroom and was having some trouble making and keeping connection to WIFI. Upgraded to Roku Ultra and the extra power seem to make a big difference, no problem making connection and staying connected to WIFI with the Ultra

The sound via the remote is not good, but the streamer is very good, I especially like the aquarium screen saver!

This streamer worked right off the bat. Wired or wirelessly. Video quality is great, interface is easy to use.

The headphones are such a lifesaver and something we never thought we needed until we got it!! Awesome feature!!

I bought this to use at a hospital during a 3 week stay. I had previously tried a firestick, but couldn't get it to work, as it doesn't have a browser, which was needed to get logged into their system. The Roku worked great and was relatively easy to set up. Definitely recommend!

This is my fourth Roku streamer. I thought it was time for an upgrade. Works well and I love the free channels. My smart tv didn’t have the an HBO ap and this device solved the problem. Eventually I plan on cutting my cable bill and will just stream channels. Highly recommended.
