My older Roku was having difficulties holding on to a signal. Very frustrating when trying to watch a movie. I finally had enough, went to Best Buy and purchased the Ultra . . . and never looked back. My streaming experience is so much better. I only wished I had done this sooner.

Much better app functionality over the Fire 4k it is replacing. Fire stuff is good, but I like how Hulu specifically works on the Roku better. In my instance, Hulu on Fire4k would lock up after I turned the TV off. And I would have to reset or clear cache to get Hulu working again. On this Roku Ultra it simply exits the Hulu app when the TV turns off. No resetting or anything. Just jump back in when you are ready and resume where you left off....much less hassle (thumbsup)!

looks good and the headphone jack makes night watching easier on my wife when i cant sleep

Got this to say bye bye to the cable company. Been working great and using it for 7 months now. We broke the ethernet holder right away, not sure if this is a manufacture defect, or we're just clumsy. It still works great as long as I don't pull the cable out.

My Samsung 65 inch Smart TV was evidently not smart enough to work with HULU Live TV. The ROKU Ultra solved the problem with its up to date software. Installed it in 5 minutes. I then bought a second one for our even older bedroom TV, and it performs perfectly.

The batteries only last a few days and can't be plugged in to recharge. Had to buy rechrgable batteries.

Roku has had a serious problem with the headphone jack for years. I have gone through more than 12 of the headphone jack Rokus. The headphone jack connections go out, the battery electronics are really messed up and wear the batteries down in a couple of days. I had to go to rechargeable batteries, as I was going through boxes of batteries each week. Now I recharge every couple of days. I am getting ready to bring my 13th+ Roku Ultra back. I called Roku, and they are apparently aware, but are not willing to fix the problem as they just say send the remote back. I love the ease of Roku and streaming, but they need to fix the headphone jack problem!

Works well. Does not include HDMI cable. Remote controls the TV well. Picture quality and sound quality are great.

Purchased a Roku box and absolutely love it. So simple to stream movies, etc. using this device, no learning curve -- and...I love that it takes voice commands! Roku offers an assortment of boxes at different prices which make them affordable to many people (very nice!).

This has a lot of subtle advantages over the streaming sticks (which I also have) - mostly that it's much more powerful with better codec support, and that it has a wired Ethernet connection so it's not clogging up your wireless. The thing about it is though, it's now also staying on all of the time instead of turning off and on with your TV, and after a couple of weeks you need to reboot it because it gets unstable. Not a deal breaker, but still disappointing.

Bought this for a good friend who's a little bit hearing impaired. It's hard for her to watch all the great channels she gets because she has to blast the TV volume so high. She loves this Roku because the remote has an earphone jack and comes with nice earbuds.

Love this new roku with voice search. It provides a quick way to search for movies. The only thing that I don't like about roku, is when I search for a movie, and it tells me where I can find it, it seldomly finds the movie on Netflix, even though Netflix is carrying it.

I was experiencing problems streaming tv from spectrum and decided to upgrade the basic roku to this one. The new one has a faster processing speed so I thought this would fix my problems. Apple TV has the best speed but runs around $179 vs $99 for the better roku. It has eliminated alot of the problems I was having not all. It's a big improvement. I believe the other problems are with Spectrums streaming service. Overall its better and I can live with it.

Met all specifications. I had to replace batteries within one month. I wish it had a key pad to enter channels.

the headphones were great, was able to watch a movie with out disturbing anyone. would recommend this product.

Very easy install, works great I would of done 5 stars but the adds during some movie channels are annoying

I own two of these plus a Roku TV and a Roku Premiere. I must say that none of my smart TV's come even close to having as many apps as a Roku and my favorite feature is being able to use headphones on the remote or with my cellphone for those late night movie watching.

Wanted to get away from TV service because of price and needed something to stream. Roku Ultra was recommended and it's perfect. Very easy to connect to my smart TV...best of all I didn't have to purchase a new TV. My TV is 9 years old and it connected beautifully!

This item was obtained with substantial discount from Best Buy rewards. It is comparable to the best Apple TV streaming device. It also seems to offer access to apps not easily available elsewhere. Impeccable resolution and buffering is rare.
