I hooked the device to my TV through an available HDMI connector on the TV and I was immediately up an running. Netflix, Amazon Prime, Acorn all were available. Plus, I could subscribe to many more sources through available apps. In addition, there were lots of free movies (most were fairly old) I could access. Picture quality was as good as the TV can handle. The remote is not perfect, but the voice commands make it a lot easier to use. I am planning on buying another Ultimate Roku for my other TV. I am very satisfied with this product.

This roku is pretty fast and everything just loads up quick. The other big benefit compared to the built in tv devices is that roku does not sell you information or data to third parties like a bunch of big tv brands. If you have a networked tv you are best to turn off the tv apps and opt out and get one of these roku's so that companies are not listening to you and spying on you through the tv remote recording everything that is said in your house and capturing everything you watch and storing it across all your devices connected to the tv.

I have chromecast and all sorts of other great gizmos. But basically the Roku 4K box is the champion, rocket fast, can talk into it like an Apple TV, lots of free and cheap options. The biggest think is the speed over the cheaper options. I will not buy another Roku enabled TV, for example. It's much better to have this rocket fast aftermarket option on a TV, so its not important that the T is "smart" any more. Apple TV or Ruku are both stellar option to power the "smart" aspect, better than the design of some TV platform that will quickly be out of date.

Very easy to set up and works flawlessly. I really needed the privacy earbuds, as I watch TV late and the sound was disturbing the rest of the family

We had not used a Roku device before but had family members who did. We presently had Dish Network and was looking for a cheaper alternative. On a Black Friday sale last fall Best Buy had a very good sale on the Ultra 4K model and I purchased it for a Christmas present for us. It was very easy to hook-up and use. You get to critique what channels/programs you watch instead of what’s included in a Dish package and it’s much cheaper. Plus there are some things you can get for free. We love the Roku and will get one for other TVs we have.

I have 4 Roku Ultra’s and talk my daughter into getting her 3 more. Great picture easy to use and hook up. Saving me $70 a month. Can’t be happier.

I've had several Roku's over the years and this is the best one yet. It's faster and has a great interface and gets Prime when older models won't.

Got this on sale and glad I did. Setup was easy and the menu is simple to navigate. The remote has power and volume. The voice control works well.

Great remote, channels change quickly, very fast little unit. I purchased the ultra due to the ethernet port but you can runbwireslessly as well.

Device was easy to install and configure. picture quality was a definite improvement over my previous device. Response to commands is very quick.

Hook up was very easy, just plug it in, connect to the WiFi and you were good. Love the head phone plug on the remote for private listing.

This was an upgrade from a previous model Roku. The new model has exceeded expectations. In the past, there were occasional delays while the player buffered, and the image was not always sharp. The new player has a quad core processor and dual-band wi-fi connectivity, so there is virtually no latency and the detail and clarity of the image is superb. The icing on the cake is the voice search. It saves time and trouble. I love this Roku!

I love my Roku. It let me turn my old tv in to a tv streaming center. Also great that they added airplay to it.

I purchased this because one of my televisions is not a smart TV and this is the best purchase by far because I live in a apartment and when I want to watch a movie at 3 AM and blast The volume I can because the remote has a headphone jack which has been great because I don't want to disturb my neighbors with my loud shows and movies cause I'd like to play them loud I would definitely purchase one again for my living room if the price went down a little bit I got mine on sale but felt they should've been a little bit lower.

Switch to youtube TV and got this. Much better interface than using chromecast. Also easy access for kids to get to netflix and PBS kids

Great picture, features and ease of use. The voice search over all of the content providers is top notch, which is why we bought this.

Roku Rocks! I have 2 of these 1 is an updated version. I also have an extended wifi version stick for Basement. All 3 work great. The newer version doesn't have Micro Sd, but has a USB port. I like these much better than a Smart TV. If it breaks ,I just Buy another. Smart TV breaks then I am out of hundreds of dollars. Easy to use, Plug and play, mostly child proof. (They lose all the battery covers on all remote controls.)
