Cut the Cord

Got rid of DirectTV and could be happier. The image quality is far better than Sprectrum, U-Verse or DirectTV. Using this in combination with several streaming services and makes things easy. Wife likes the plug in feature of the headphones into the remote for that late night viewing.

Love our ROKU!

So far we are able to watch the things we like using ROKU and some of the other apps (HULU, HBO etc) with an overall lower cost. Very happy with our ROKU!

Roku Ultra, Fantastic

We use it daily and love it. I've been using an Apple TV for years and love it too, but this Roku Ultra has so much more content. We also have Dish network TV and often times still can't find much of interest to watch, but the Roku Ultra open so many my choices.

Excellent with one major flaw

The device itself works great, is responsive, streamlined, and works as advertised. My goal was to use this with a hard drive full of my music and full resolution MKV BluRay files. The major problem is that this device will not pass certain high-res audio codecs for movies and therefore will not provide sound to a receiver without down-conversion of the audio to a lesser format. I did not realize this shortcoming before purchase, but later found out that Roku does not support all current high-res movie audio formats.
