I've used these for years. This is the first Ultra one I've purchased. I bought it because of support for different 4k and Dolby sound platforms and the increase in speed. For the difference in cost I'm not impressed. To me it works about as fast as my Roku Express. Regarding the sound, when a video loads, it always has a couple seconds of silence at the beginning before it "identifies" whether it's PCM, DTS, Dolby, etc. Sometimes, it even stays silent to the point where you have to turn the whole system on and off. Annoying. If I had it to do over, I'd just stick with the basic one.

In order to maximize your Roku Ultra's quad-core processor, you'll want to ensure that you're utilizing a strong internet connection. You can check the strength of your internet connection on each Roku device by going to Settings > Network > Check connection. This will test the quality of the signal and also measure the speed of that connection, to be sure that the signal is strong enough.

I would get to end of a show, episode 3 for example, and a "skip intro" or "next episode" commmand would come up. After clicking on the "skip intro" Roku would start playing the end of episode 4, 5 or 6. Once it did that the only way to get back to episode you wanted to see was to rewind the episode that came up or go back to the list of episodes and click the one you wanted. Something is wrong.
