Fast loading, Dolby vision, atmos, 4K, all great features. The issue this unit has is when you pause a show/movie and hit play. The video plays in slow motion, no sound. Have to either back out of the app or reset the roku to get normal play back. Software issue, once it’s fixed. It will be 5 stars. Doesn’t happen all the time, but when it does it’s a pain.

I have three streaming devices in the household and this one is my favorite. It’s responsive, easy to use, and has excellent sound and 4k streaming.

I wanted Dolby Vision capability for my Home Theater setup. This version is similar to the previous version, but with better specs. I have 2 other ROKU devices and they all works great as long as the apps support it. Right now Paramount+ says it supports DV and DA, but on ROKU all you get is 1080p not HDR/DA and Dolby Direct sound, no Atmos. It's the blame game, paramount blames ROKU and ROKU blames Paramount. The customer is caught in the middle. However, Disney +, Netflix, and Prime apps work great and give you what they say.

This was my fifth Roku purchase: 3 streaming sticks and one unfortunate Roku Premiere (cooked itself to death.) Rokus are incredibly easy to set up; this one was no exception. It is noticeably faster than the others as well.

So far, great. This was an upgrade from a several year old Roku Express. I'm not sure if it's the newer, more premium device or the fact that it allows an ethernet connection to our gigabit internet service or both, but this is way, way faster than the old device. And set up with voice entry of codes/passwords was really nice. I wish all the various channels would upgrade their login process to make it as easy (I'm talking to you Disney+, where I still had to laboriously click out e-mail address and password on screen) as Roku itself is, along with easy code on other device procedures for Netflix and Prime. I haven't tried a Bluetooth connection with my phone yet, but I'm hopeful it will work. And good price (much better than Amazon or Roku site direct) from Best Buy!

Picture, sound quality, and ease of set up is excellent. If you have a high end surround sound and 4K UHD or better, then this will fully take advantage. Also earphones in remote and voice commands nice extras! Happy I cut the cord!

After one month of use, pleased with the performance of the Roku Ultra. Setup and use have been easy and reliable. Also beneficial is the USB port for plugging in an external drive holding additional media files.

It has delivered exactly as advertised. Super easy to use. And most of the big apps (Netflix, Paramount Plus, HBO MAX) can be used. Even F1 TV so Formula 1 fans can watch races.

Works great and I’m happy this version doesn’t require you to point the remote directly at the device like the non ultra versions do. Much better price than Apple and as far as I can tell you get all the same features.

A rocket ship in performance... The quad-core processor is ultra fast. No matter what you toss at it, there is no lag time finding apps or surfing places like YouTube or Pluto TV. Push a button on the remote and you are there at once. Sometimes it gets there before I can go to the next input. This is the top-of-the-line streaming device available to day. Now, a word of advice is to upgrade to the newer 8K HDMI cables. AudioQuest has them out but they are pricey. I found several HDMI 8K cables on Amazon and at a fraction of the price. They are perfection for greater picture quality and very user-friendly with this newer Roku Ultra. Run the cable from your Roku to the eARC input on your TV. I suggest doing it first before setting up your Roku. Great purchase and worth every dollar.

I know have 4 of the Roku Ultras, only one of our TV doesn’t have one and that because we seldom use it. The Roku is use in conjunction with our TiVo’s and provide a better interface and speed to watch Netflix or Amazon prime movies.

Really like this product. I had a roku about 10 years ago, but had switched to firestick. I am glad I bought one again it has a great ux and the picture quality is great. Having the headphone function is really awesome too.

We love this unit, so easy to use, setup is simple, just plug in and go. Have decided to cut ties to cable bill - cable tv is over since it has never improved but kept getting more expensive with lousy service

We bought this to replace our fire stick as it was giving us problems watching certain 4K movies. We have had this product a couple months and no issues. Definitely much happier with the quality and ease of using Roku.

I have purchased several different Roku units in the past including Rocu Ultra which this review is for. The Ultra has two features I was looking for: it has wired internet connection potential if you want to hard wire it which I did, though you can set it up for wireless WiFi if you choose, and it has ear buds that can plug into the remote for private listening which I wanted also, though I don’t use that all the time. The signal quality is very good with this unit (Ultra) and for me the two features I mentioned were worth the upgrade. The Rocu Premier is very good as well and costs a lot less if you aren’t interested in those two features mentioned it would be a good choice, my Premier is a reconditioned unit so I’m not sure if mine is typical or if they added things to it.

After owning a FireTV for many years, I decided to switch to Roku, and I'm amazed. This player has all the main apps you could ever need or want, but without all the bloated ads in the home page, and all the constant slow downs and reboots Amazon devices push on their users. The remote is built well and useful, unlike FireTV's. This one lets you power on and off your tv as well as do volume control. So there's no need for two remotes. Plus the mobile app remote is a solid solution if needed. The Rokus OS helps you set the video display very well to make sure you hare getting the most optimal settings out of the box. I would suggest going through the Setup Wizard for this. Overall its a great player, with great software that makes using it fast and easy.

This ROKU is my favorite yet. It has a lost remote finder! I lose my remote so this feature is awesome. You can also cast pics and videos from your phone with this model. Streams in 4K and Dolby Digital sound too. Nice upgrade.

I've owned Rokus for years, but I had to upgrade to the new Ultra for Dolby Vision which my TVs support. I also like the Ultras because of the headphone jack in the remote. I can use headphones at night and not disturb othres.

I’ve been using Roku’s for a couple of years now and this unit is the best and most capable thus far. If you are considering going Roku for streaming I highly suggest you go with higher end model as you will be disappointed.

The Roku Ultra is possibly the best streaming device available. The ease of use and simple design underscores why Roku is the dominant streaming device sold in the US. The Ultra model is perfect for 4k and UHD movies and shows.
