    Seems to have software problems

    Very disappointed. I have had a couple of other Roku models and had very good experience. Wanted to upgrade our main TV so I bought the Ultra. First problem: the remote turns on our TV just fine but the player unit does not boot up with the TV. Never had that problem before. I looked online and found others have the same issue. They offered some hacks, and they seem to work except that they require either booting up the player seperately or turning off the power save option. The player wakes up fine shortly after using, but if it sits an hour or more it needs a separate prodding to work. Then it's fine, except for another annoying issue. It often gives a error message concerning a bad HDMI cable which requires disconnecting and shutting down. I found online that others are experiencing the same issue. I have replaced the HDMI 3 times, including a brand new HDMI. But the glitch still returns every few days, requiring a complete reboot. Very annoying from a product that is now only 2 weeks old. I have been through the Roku service chat process twice and they have tried various forms of resets but so far no success and of course every reset requires me to reload all accounts from the beginning.

      If you haven't already, be sure to check your Roku's Settings for a system update as we've very recently been putting out updates to address user issues and improve system stability.

      As a reminder, always use the HDMI cable provided since all HDMI cables are not created equally. In an effort to isolate the issue, you may also want to try to use a different HDMI port or a different TV to see if the error continues.

    Well it's nice to have Dolby Vision available, it seems like the new processor has added an incredible amount of noise reduction to 1080p video. I immediately returned it and went back to my 2018 Roku Ultra. I was very disappointed

      We're sorry to hear that it didn't meet your expectations. If you decide to give the 2020 model another shot, you could try adjusting your picture settings. In your TV's advanced settings, look for the "HDR Always On" setting and be sure it's turned off. Thanks for your feedback.
