    Awesome but it does glitch occasionally. All you have to do is disconnect power and reattach.

    Headphone volume crippled

    Bought this mainly for its remote’s headphone jack. Turns out that the latest version of this model has crippled the volume output on that jack. Even set to 100, it doesn’t deliver as much sound as the iPhone Roku app. I’d have returned it if Best Buy’s return period weren’t so sadly brief. Roku’s answer: “Recently, new global guidelines have been released, requiring all electronic volume output to be reduced on devices with headphone listening. These restrictions were put in place to prevent any kind of hearing damage that may be caused from high-volume listening for long durations. “For this reason, the remote control headphone jack on newer devices, such as the 2020 Roku Ultra 4800, will likely require streamers to utilize a higher volume number to achieve the same volume output as previous remotes. (Or in your case, to achieve the same volume output as your iPhone).”

    Remote loud, heavy, too "click"-y

    Functionally identical to my 5-year-old Roku stick; cannot see, hear, or feel any significant upgrade with this new model. The remote is a big disappointment: the buttons are heavy, thick, and make a loud LOUD clicking noise when pressed. (The old model was smooth, light, and silent.)

    Decoder problem? Lines/Boxes in video output.

    My older Roku3 is working fine, but this new Ultra unit is having problems with the video across different apps--there are subtle lines or boxes that show up while watch. This looks like some kind of decoding problem, so I hope it gets fixed with a firmware update. I bought this during a sale, and now the device is unreturnable.

    Good product. Only reason I gave it a 3 star is the new Roku registration process. They are making it very difficult for you to register the product without a credit card number. Roku needs to go back to the simpler registration process.
