Total Waste of 100 bucks

Total waste of a hundred bucks. Now I have no current use for the roku as the TV has all my usual apps. Don't know who is worse, spectrum or roku.

Posted .Hi Vicki, thank you for your feedback. Roku’s contract with Charter for the distribution of the SpectrumTV channel expired and it is no longer available to download from the Roku Channel Store. If you have already downloaded the SpectrumTV channel, you can continue using it for now.
As an existing user who deleted the app and is looking to re-install, you will want to reach out to Charter support on their website.
The Roku Platform has 10,000+ channels available and offers many alternative live TV services for you to enjoy, including Sling TV, Hulu + Live TV, Fubo, and Philo. Many of these live TV streaming services offer free trials and are available in the Roku Channel Store.

Roku Ultra does't work with Verizon Fios remote

When we touch any button on the Fios remote Roku comes on and there is no way to watch live tv. Roku support is clueless in fixing the problem. If you are a Fios customer do not buy a Roku.

Posted .Hi Allen, thanks for reaching out. We have a couple of suggestions that may help! On your Roku, you'll want to try to disable 1-touch play. To do so, go into your Roku's settings> system> control other devices> 1-touch, and uncheck it.
Note: If 1-touch play is not enabled, disable CEC on your TV's settings instead. For a Samsun TV, Press Home on your Samsung remote. Navigate and select Settings, System, Expert Settings, Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC), Select Off.

Don't play UHD Vudu Movies

Our old Roku Ulra played UHD on Vudu and this one will not. This is also our 2nd one. The first one we purchased got so hot after only an hour it turned itself off. So we exchanged for another, this one gets warm but not hot like the other but we cannot watch UHD Vudu movies on it. Don't Recommend. Plan to return.

If you haven't already, you can try uninstalling the Vudu app, restarting your Roku device, and reinstalling your Vudu app. Are you able to stream 4K content on other channels? If you're not seeing 4K content on any channel, try a different HDMI port (be sure that you're using the one labeled HDMI 2.2).

Stopped working again

The first Premier would overheat and stop working. Roku replaced it but the new one did the same thing. I purchased this top model Ultra, 5 weeks ago and now it lost it's sound. Roku is sending me a replacement. Poorly designed products and very poor build quality.

For example, avoid placing the unit in direct sunlight, or inside a cabinet (or other enclosed space). Don't buy for Multiple Device TV.

Old Roku devices works well but Roku has stop these functions to work because they think the make the best remote in the work.

You can’t watch IPTV on it because Roku decided to ban them. And it keeps banning all IPTV apps. You better go with Fire stick, Smart TV or some other box and install IPTV without any issues. Roku is just a greedy company willing to control your content.

Unuseable

Unfortunately, the day I got it, Roku decided to end it's relationship with Spectrum and no longer supports the Spectrum app. It's very disappointing that these companies argue like children and their customers are stuck paying the price. I will be returning it.

Roku disappointed

This has glitches, the stops, it reboots, if you pause and restart the screen remains black but you can hear the audio. I am very disappointed in this roku:(

Don’t buy

This is such a waste of money. There is no help for this glitch, which is tremendously inconvenient and defeats the purpose of having this item. Apply TV is so much better and I regret purchasing this.

Roku Ultra Review

Many reviews from others reported the same problem. The volume wqs just too low. My old roku was reinstalled and worked fine so that proved the problem was in the new Roku Ultra.

ROKU Let disappointment

Perfect Streaming Solution
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Roku devices are a great choice as not only are there free streaming content provider channels on there, the Roku Ultra's UI is the fastest and smoothest for input compared to some of the TVs with built-in apps. The headphone jack on the remote is a nice feature when you want to binge watch a bunch of shows late at night and don't want to disturb anyone else. I will note battery life when using the headphones tends to be shorter. For home entertainment I highly recommend the Roku Ultra, its simple to setup and very fast for streaming your favorite shows.

The picture is supposed to be better than my Roku stick it’s not it’s got a white haze to it on all channels it’s supposed to be better buts it’s junk.

The Roku support was inadicate in identifying the problem and resolving it. They had a script they followed no matter the issue. They have no troubleshooting skills. I will be returning the Roku.
