I had all the apps I needed on my LG TV - or so I thought, until I discovered Kanopy - which had a catalogue of movies unimaginable in Netflix, or Prime or any of the regular movie channels. A quick research showed that the Roku had all the features that I needed, including the Kanopy app, in addition to all the standard ones. The Good. I get all my apps/channels in one device - with a basic interface that is fairly easy to use. The Not-so-good. My sound is through an older Onkyo surround receiver, which does not do the HDMI-CEC business too well, so I cannot use the Roku remote to control both the TV and the Onkyo. Fortunately I have the Harmony 665 which can command all three - and more. The bottom line: Quite happy with the Roku Ultra. (I wanted the Ultra for the hardwired ethernet connection). However, the remote control could be better - maybe more like the Google Chromecast remote.

What can I say, it's a Roku. Easy setup. Simple to use. I had two smart TV's with Roku built in, but wanted to access some streaming content that was not available on my LG OLED TV's built in apps. This Roku device solved the problem. When I realized I needed this to access Discovery Plus, I drove to my local BB store, purchased the device (two actually) and was watching 4K streaming content an hour later. Using wired ethernet to connect the Roku to the internet. I have a fast FIOS connection. Never a sputter or any buffering. It just works. Highly recommended.

The remote for this Roku is great. You can plug earphones in it and the volume for the tv works as well so I don't need umpteen different remotes.

I have tried many streaming players including new Apple TV 4K thanks to crappy Samsung OS on my TV. This Rolu ultra plays same quality videos in almost 1/3rd of the price of Apple TV. I have a Fire TV 4K but stopped using that as I don’t want to give my data to Google and Amazon. Roku is in business of hardware not advertising so that is a logical choice. I got it on sale as I was eying it for few months. Money well spent I just love my new TV. Now I just need a better sound from my TV but for now I connect a pair of headphones. It has never hanged so far.

I bought a Roku Streaming Stick+ for my second TV a while back and was looking to add a Roku to my main system. After Roku added HDR10+ and Dolby Atmos capabilities to the Roku Ultra 2020, I planned to get one the next time they went on sale. The price dropped to $69 and I pulled the trigger. All the apps I had installed on the Roku Steaming Stick+ installed on the Ultra 2020 without any problems. The Dolby Atmos works on Netflix, and the HDR10+ works on Paramount Plus. HDR10+ does not work on Prime Video as of this writing, but it does work on my Amazon Fire Stick 4K. I hooked up the Ethernet connection and plugged in a USB stick with 4K videos on it, and they worked fine. This is the Roku to add to a main home theater system with Dolby Atmos, and HDR10+ capabilities. It also does Dolby Vision, but my Samsung TV does not support that..

Picture quality is awesome. easy of use is pretty simple. Its a pretty ngood up grade from the old one. Roku is getting better with every new product..

I really like my Roku Ultra. It has great picture quality and in 4K, It is very responsive and their interface is way better than the others I've tried.

Convenient way for streaming clear and crisp sound movies. Base and remote communicate very well. Remote with mic helps alot to search for movies and channels.

Very intuitive and easy to use. This was a quick and cheap way to upgrade my MIL's older smart TV to use modern apps for various streaming services now that she's cut the cord. This helped us use an existing TV she had after her living room TV finally died. She appreciates the large app tiles and simple remote that can control the TV as well so only a single remote control is needed. Unlike the even cheaper streaming sticks, this unit has a faster processor and doesn't experience hang ups in the UI.

This item is easy to set up and use. I have been using another 'stick' since we cut cable but I didn't like the way the main page is geared towards their services. Roku devices are much easier to navigate and have less clutter. I would recommend this over competitors. Having three kids, one of the best features is you can push a button on the base and it makes the remote beep so you can find it. Great tool!!

I love it! Easy access to all my favorite streaming services, plus its own streams, mostly of older shows/movies, but still a great addition to a nearly perfect product. I could have given this 4 stars because the battery-burning remote is a real pain when listening through the provided earbuds. But, my solution, like so many others, is to remove the batteries after each use, don't use the earbuds, or download the Roku app and operate the system via your smartphone.

This new roku device is definitely worth upgrading to. It replaced an older model and has a much better picture. So easy to use.

Bought this to use on my LG OLED tv because it supports 4K. Picture is fantastic! Best of all is all the free channels and content there is to watch. Connected seamlessly with tv and even came with an HDMI cable. The remote supports voice commands, it also connected seamlessly with my tv and best of all - the volume control is on the side of the remote! No more need to use two remotes, one to change channels and one to control volume. Overall extremely pleased and highly recommend. Five stars!

I purchased this Roku Ultra device for a second non-smart television based on the extreme pleasure that I had received from a previous purchase for my main tv. It has more than met my expectations. I ordered the unit from Best Buy online and it was ready for curbside pickup as promised. The wait outside Best Buy was 5 minutes at most. Very happy and I would most highly recommend both Roku and Best Buy.

Set up was done step by step and very easy. Excellent picture quality. Have used the earphones a few times. Convenient to have it connected to the remote

The ROKU Ultra is the best device we've tried for streaming. Gives us the best interface and the best picture. We have an odd issue that we're trying to work out with Roku, so too soon to tell. Seems a one-off

Bought as a gift for my daughter in college. Works out pretty well, shes able to sign in to our account and we can share movies and programming.

I great product that does a good job of streaming , searching , and video and sound . I love keeping these capabilities separate from the tv electronics .

Great budget streamer. I have a full 5.2.2 audio system with an OLED tv so my needs were having Dolby atmos and Dolby vision. This is exactly what I needed. The Roku interface is also very easy to use.
