I buy the newest Roku Ultra every year. This is an upgrade worthy of the money this year for the proper Dolby Atmos output. The only disappointment is how the YouTube and Plex apps still don't seem to output it properly. Netflix and Disney+ both look and sound perfect with Dolby Vision and Atmos to my LG CX and Sony receiver. App launch speed is fast but about the same as last year's model. I use Ethernet so I can't attest to wifi performance.

This was much nicer than the older one I had. easy to use and a great picture.

Now that Roku has Dolby Vision support there is no reason not to invest in one. Now I am able to view all my Vudu videos that have Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos in one place. Thank you. (It would be better if you made your display for HDR adaptive to what ever you are streaming so you do not have to keep manually changing the TV display from 4k to 4k HDR and back. Some non HDR videos do not play well when Dolby Vision or HDR10 is turned on.

Works great! It was very easy to set up. The headphone jack and headphones is a nice added feature.

Didn't know how I'd like this as I've never used a Roku anywhere before. I wanted this specific version rather than one of the 4k sticks due to the added HDR and Dolby Vision. The device is not all that large and can easily be tucked out of the way. I actually don't mind having it sit right behind/below the TV. Good range of channels that you don't need any subscriptions to watch also.

We use stand alone Roku's (not built into TV) exclusively in our house and seldom (pretty much never) have any issues. This year we upgraded every room in the house with this years models (some rooms with the stream bar) replacing various Roku's 2 and Roku's 3 to be on the same generation in every room. Also helped to buy on/ around black Friday when each one was $20 off regular price (which counted toward my value rating).

Bought my second Roku Ultra to have the ability of Dolby Vison HDR for my next main tv, a 4K model. I hooked it up to a 2012 2K tv and it does everything it's supposed to except turn the set on. Nice to have volume controls, mute, voice commands, personal listening earbuds, and the ability to turn everything off with the remote. I use the first one at a vacation home with a slow internet connection. Both Rokus work well.

The build,quality,speed and setup is first rate. The available programming seems endless but compared to a true android box, it comes in second. If you want a streamer that is set and forget, this is for you. If you want to dig deeper into it's abilities, it can be manipulated to add programs from alternative sites that increase your viewing options.

Unlike other Roku devices, this one does not come with a headphone jack. In addition, the batteries cannot be recharged via a simple usb connection. You must physically replace the batteries with new ones. My older Roku players also offer 4k. This Roku has Dolby Vision which is useful but not supported by Samsung, which sells more tv's than any other company.

Best streaming device period. Works great and picture quality is amazing.

This thing is quick. We no longer have cable and have moved to all streaming services. The built in “smart” features of my TV were painfully slow. Chromecast is a great device, but sometimes you wanna browse with a remote. My FireTV sticks are also slowing down enough to be annoying. The Roku is ultra fast, I never have stutters, slowdowns or am annoyed navigating menus. Well worth it for cord cutters.

I love this player. Great Dolby vison and 4k but the only reason i cant give it 5 stars is because needs to be reset once in a while because it freezes.
