Purchased last month. Works well. Got this one because it has ethernet connectivity. Performance is good. I was looking forward to using the TV on/off and volume controls that come on the remote but cannot use them because I connect it to my a/v receiver, not directly to my TV. I believe many people have this configuration and am surprised that Roku didn't plan for this and enable at least the volume controls to work with a/v receivers. That's why I gave this four stars instead of five.

Great Product! got it to replace an apple tv that was previously in my room. The Headphone adapter in the remote is 100% a key feature for late night watching or if you really want to hear your show/movie while other things are going on around you. 10/10 would recomend!

Love that the remote has a mute button - old 2019 Roku Ultra didn't. Faster app loading and launching and Dolby Vision HDR, Dolby Atmos, and Bluetooth. The 2020 Roku includes a HDMI cable and batteries. Also included are the headphones which connect to the remote control. Improved WiFi speed over the 2019 version.

Wow, what a difference between this and the less expensive Roku's. The 4K is solid, the device is solid. Spend the extra money and enjoy a very responsive unit w/RF and/or app controlled remote. A little more than 1/2 the price of the Apple TV, cannot understand why someone would pay more for what this device offers.

This Roku (ultra 4k) is my third roku I have purchased. I have been a happy customer with Roku. It is better than my last one-quicker response time-voice control-earphone for private listening-none of that was in my last roku, Excellent-highly recommend!

Awesome Picture. Easy to use and better connection.

Works pretty well with a simple, easy to use remote control. I have mine hooked up with an Ethernet cable to a switch running off our modem. Only thing is that I get a bit of cut out so I’m not sure if mine has a bad cable or a bad port. I pretty regularly get a fault intermittently telling me the HDMI connection is bad but I check to make sure the cable is seated so maybe ai’ll try a different port to see if I can correct it and if it continues then I probably have a lemon.

Once I was able to get this setup with ARC connections to my TV and sound bar, everything works great! It’ll take a while to get used to using the tiny remote, but it works well to control everything. Setup is otherwise a breeze. 4K HDR content seems to looks just as good as any other source. The UI and apps are very similar in functionality to Samsung, Vizio and Sony TVs, so it ultimately is not really needed. I don’t really care for all of the bloat wars and redundant “channels” offered by Roku. This is a great buy for those who don’t have a smart TV or have limitations to the native smart TV functionality. I was hopeful that the games would be fun, however games are absolutely atrocious. Hopefully Apple TV prices will come down, because it works much better than this for Apple users although not worth the relatively high price. Airplay does work nicely. All-in-all, I give it a solid “meh.”

I bought the 2020 Roku Plus, and immediately saw better HDR and clearer picture, BUT it seemed to struggle with sharpness. It was almost as if Roku intended to have all surfaces smooth versus texture. The biggest issue for my return, after hitting fast forward or rewind in the same app a few times, the Closed Caption (CC) would automatically turn on. Example, CBS will sometimes leave ur show off on a different point then u last viewed; however, they don't always show u preview of where u are at in scanning for your last stopping point. So after going backwards or forwards a few times, CC will turn on. This causes u to go to the Home screen in Roku and then enter ur app again. It did this on several different apps, so its a Roku issue. Besides these the lack of sharpening to show texture and the CC automatically turning itself on, the player was still better picture than the previous Roku Ultra.

Got it at a great price. Very fast and easy to use.

Replaced an older Roku with the Ultra 2020. Its in and area away from my wifi access point and part of the appeal was the claim of better connectivity. This seems to be true and everything seems to be working fine. Much faster than my vintage model also. I also bought the unit during the holiday sales at $30 of list.

This is my 3rd Roku device. I find that it is easy to install and manage streaming programs. Roku allows me to choose what I want to stream. I am not locked into a costly package of programs that I have no interest in viewing. In addition, Roku customer service is accessible, courteous, and helpful.

It’s a small upgrade over the previous Roku ultimate. The addition of Dolby Vision is great, but it’s enabled for all content by default, which is terrible. Thankfully that setting can be disabled. It also annoyingly defaults to auto “upgrade” audio to the best format (e.g. Atmos). I found it better to transmit the unmodified audio signal. Otherwise, it’s a familiar experience.

Quick snappy response, almost no lag scrolling/navigating. The headphone connection on remote is very convenient, it does automatically mute output from TV. The remote also feels well built, buttons have a nice click to them. Have yet to find the voice feature useful yet. Overall very good performance/quality.

Very easy to setup and use. Great selection of streaming channels and apps. The device is well built and constructed from quality materials. It is very simple to navigate the menu system of the Roku. Remote is perfect. The remote is very simple to use. Would love to see the remote get a backlight option in the future.

The Roku Ultra is wonderful! The interface works quickly and the voice-controlled remote makes inputting passwords or searching for a show/movie an easy thing to do. I love the free programming available, as well as the option to add paid for programming. All of this for under $70 was a great deal!

Very quick and efficient. It works so much better than any other streaming device. This replaced our 2016 model and it is great! It allows you to cut the cord and save money! The picture is fantastic and it works very well under heavy streaming. No better streaming device out there!

Bought this to replace our dying FireTV stick, and to have a means to watch videos off a USB drive. This was on sale so I gave it a shot, and I was happy I did. I thought the earphone thing with the remote was neat, so I can watch without using my soundbar nor receiver.
