Customers are saying
Customers have good things to say about the Ultra Streaming Device's ease of use, picture quality, and remote control. Many appreciate the inclusion of a headphone jack and Dolby Vision, along with the device's 4K capabilities and smooth performance. The user-friendly interface and straightforward setup are also frequently praised. A common concern, however, centers around the remote's battery life.

Much Better than Smart TV streaming APPS
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent Streaming Device...much better than the native TV smart streamers. Has all the best APPS. You will have to turn off the Auto Dolby Vision so that you get the source format sent to your TV DV or HR10 or ILG. Great neutral interface. It does not emphasize one APP over another.

Love This Product
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works great! We can take it on vacation as well as use it at home so I always have my apps with me. The Headphone Jack is great because my husband doesn't hear well so He can put the ear phones in and hear Just fine without disturbing me.

Great model of Roku, but Roku is dated
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Much better performance and wifi signal reception than my Roku streaming stick. I have since discovered Chromecast with Google tv. It makes the entire Roku interface very dated. I would not recommend unless you are looking to stay in the Roku ecosystem.

Way better than the fire stick
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I switched from an Amazon fire stick to the Roku ultra 20 & it has better range fort WiFi router. The picture is way better because it shows in 1080p it looks like my cable tv now. I haven’t watched it on all the apps but I watch a lot of Netflix & Prime Video & I love it!!

Roku Ultra
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this device. My husband prefers a remote with buttons that he can feel he's hit. ( I prefer the options of Apple TV myself), so this is a great alternative to Apple. The color, the definition, and ease of use is the best ( after Apple) on the market.

Roku device + remote with mic and remote finder
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the microphone feature on the remote and with the app on my phone I could find the remote when lost. It would be great if the remote was rechargeable but instead uses AAA bat. Other than that its well updated with all current apps. Thanks for reading:)

Best purchase I made this year.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best advice I ever took , my son talked me out of getting a new 4K tv. My Sony 65 “ is ten yrs old and isn’t a smart tv, the Roku is ten yrs old and it operates slow. Chris told me to buy a New Roku Ultra and I am very glad he did. It really works great picture is 4K and sound is great.

Roku Ultra is good but not great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Roku Ultra works well (7 out of 10). It was simple to attach & setup. You must give Roku a credit card to setup the initial account, however, once it is setup you may be able to delete it (per several web sources.) There are a large number of streaming channel offerings & some good free channels; Pluto TV is one of them. PBS is offered but full access requires membership. To get rid of nagging ads requires $$$ on a monthly basis. I like the Roku Ultra because it has an Ethernet port & Wifi. The USB port is good for attaching an external hard drive with personal videos, pictures & music too. Dolby is built in and sound good. The remote control is a bit small, not illuminated, the volume controls on the side are sort of in the way & you cannot change the four main steam buttons to your own channels. Searching by the arrows & keyboard screen for content is tedious. A 3rd party "universal" remote that supports Roku may be better. The first real issue for me is the lack of an overall "guide" to try to organize content that I enjoy from the various sources & put them into a timeline or available type format; there is a lot of surfing, entering & exiting the content channels "fishing" for what to watch then finding out it is blocked or a teaser (1 season out of 7). Also, the channels all have a different look & feel that is bother & takes a LOT of getting used to. The second issue is the lack of detail on a show or movie content that you do find. Ex. when you find a movie or show that looks interesting there is no details on the year, actors, plot, awards, etc. It reminds me of, here is the movie "Whatever," do you want it or not. Be aware, there is a lot of R rated content (no X rated content by defaults) & the parental control setup procedures are elaborate so I skipped setting them up. The third issue is having to establish credentials for most of the channels; user(email) & passwords then getting spammed by the channel marketing departments. Also, a number of the channels have dropped my credentials a few times now for unknown reasons & putting them back in is a chore. Bottom line. I would buy the Roku again but hopefully AFTER they have improved the channel - surf - jumping - guide interface issues & the remote control. IMO it is still a work in progress.

Super Roku item
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this Roku Ultra!! We watch tv with it upstairs at night so that one person can sleep while partner uses headphones. It's awesome because I can sleep while my husband watches what he likes and then vise-versa or if we both wake up we can watch something together with sound.

Cut the cable
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Why pay for satellite or cable and internet for tv? ditch the dish / cut the cable and use Roku and the internet for your television programs. Fairly simple to set up, connect power, connect hdmi cable and walk through set up guide - done.

Worth the upgrade!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Noticeable improvement in app load times and overall WiFi connectivity. Retains the same beatiful interface that we've all come to love and expect, but with several great new features. I have owned 3 separate Roku devices and this is by far the best. An absolute must for any Roku fan!

Roku Rocks
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I dig these Roku devices. They are the cat's pajamas. I wish I would have bought one a lot sooner. I have two at my house and just bought one for my Father. Way better than just a plain smart tv...

Great upgrade item
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Roku 3 had seem better days and it was showing its age. We decided to upgrade and this machine is great. I is faster and much more responsive than the previous generation of Roku products. I especially like that is Ethernet capable as I didn't want to rely on WiFi.

Great update from the Streaming Stick
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased to replace a Streaming Stick on main living room floor that randomly dropped signal. The remote face (kids) had also busted so it was time. The wifi signal strength at this location is very strong. Unfortunately, I'm still experiencing the drops, although now less frequently. The headphone jack comes in very handy for my kids and the lost remote finder also for my wife!!!

Fast 4k Streamer
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for the AirPlay feature which just got released, but ended up needing it because an app stopped working on my smart tv. It's decently fast and responsive. I've seen slight artifacting in some shows, though I'm not sure if that's due to the Roku or the source content.

Simply the Best
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing! Love all Roku products - you can never go wrong. I updated to this from the Roku stick and it is great. The quality of picture and speediness to get to apps are just the best. Love all the apps you can add and just the best TV viewing experience. Highly recommend!

Fantastic Alternative to the Apple TV 4k
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a fantastic media player. I'm a longtime Apple TV guy, but I didn't want to purchase another Apple TV 4K because it's expected to be updated this year. I have to say I was blown away by this player and highly recommend it for all but the most ardent Apple fans.

Roku streaming device vs local news sntenna
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Seems to work good on Roku channel. Having a bear if a time, however. To make everything work seamlessly with a Roku antenna for local stations. Nothing quite like using two separate remotes and thren having to unplug the Roku box at night so it will not automatically come back on. What the heck?? Who wants to replace a perfectly good 4k TV and buy another just to get this arrangement to work properly?? Not me!

Roku is still the best, just put this on a Fire TV
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been with Roku since 2009, upgraded a few times and now have Roku on three TVs, including one TV that came with Amazon Fire built in, and one Visio smart TV. I like to keep my channel menus well organized and clean...can't beat Roku for ease of customizing menus.
