I've own several other basic Roku models, but this Ultra version truly is the best and worth the money. It's faster response time, enhanced remote control with power, volume, and headphone jack are great upgrades for me. I upgraded my home theater system and connected this Roku Ultra with full 1GB Ethernet cable to my home network. It now loads content and menus so much faster than when using the WiFi.

I have 3 different roku sticks (cheaper, ultra, 4K) and 2 different models of firesticks. This version is very fast, faster that all of the others. I sometimes have trouble with remotes working on Roku and Firestick, but this doesn't have any problems so far. It has a mute button, ear phone jack, and other nice features. You can also hard-wire this model, which I did to take some load off the wireless router.

Love this Roku device. I had an older Roku stick and it often froze me out of my streaming service. At first I blamed my internet provider but then found that it could be due to the device itself. This one has given us no problems, is faster, and I like the new remote more too. Definitely the best streaming device we have and we have two other competing brands as well.

4K, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, what more can you say. Awesome product, and very easy to use.

Originally had a 65" TCL that died on me, after 1.5 yrs. It was a Roku tv, and I enjoyed it. It allowed me to have Spectrum tv on it, using the Spectrum app, without having to pay for cable in another room. Once the tv died, I decided to go with a Sony Android tv, but wanted to have Roku and the Spectrum app still. I bought this 4k Roku. It works perfectly, crystal clear picture and the remote also can control my new tv.

My dog chewed up my original Roku so I had to buy this more expensive version to get the earphone jack and battery power option. Wish they still made that in the lower cost options.

This is my 3rd Roku Ultra 4800. I purchased this to stream DirecTV Stream as it does not have an app for my Google TV. I was quite impressed with its speed and picture quality (after disabling the HDR ALWAYS ON feature, which is a horrible default setting). The ability to use the FF and REW functions on DTV Stream are nice, but the best function of all was using the voice remote to say "Forward 4 minutes" and then going back and learning that voice command to one of the two programmable buttons. Now when a commercial break comes on, I just hit the "2" program button and I am right back at the end of the commercial break. The only negative I have found is, unlike some other streaming devices, when you forward past what it has buffered, which 4 minutes does, it restarts in low res mode, and plays for about 7 seconds before jumping back to HD. I found the audio is much better than DirecTV Streams own Osprey box, which outputs its Dolby 2.0 channels to the L/R channels and blocks a soundbar or AVR from creating phantom 5.1. The Roku correctly outputs Dolby digital on the 5.1 channels, Atmos when available, and if its in neither format, it outputs dolby + where the AVR can do a phantom upconvert. Very nice box.

Love Roku TV and this makes everything about Roku easy to use. Having the rechargeable battery in the remote sure is better than always looking for batteries when you need to use. Simple design and looks like it will hold up over time. The ear buds also make a nice touch for when you are up early in the morning or late at night and you do not want to disturb others in the home

Can’t go wrong with Rok! We’ve had a few iterations of these and finally decided to try the ultra for a second bedroom tv. Love that this device can hide behind a wall mounted tv! Setup was a breeze, it recognized our Toshiba from a few years ago and now we don’t need the other remote. Very fast compared to our roku 3too. Highly recommended!

I love it! Set up is soooo easy. Highly dependable. I haven't had one technical glitch. I love i can get all my cable channels over wifi without having to attach a cable box or have a cable wire anywhere! Simple easy interface. I recommend watching the how to video as it took a couple weeks before we realized how some of the buttons gave great flexibility when logged into our cable provider.

Have had no issues since I attached it to my television. Quality is clear the sound is clear there is nothing to complain about it. This was the best investment ever!

This device serves as an excellent means for streaming.

Worked better then fire stick got few years back as gift

got this for my sony 900e 75in tv. Main reason for purchasing was for disney plus wasn't streaming quality sound from my smart tv app. I purchased a samsung q90 dolby atmos soundbar so i could have high quality sound. Everything is working great and I do have it wired directly to my router for great streaming quality so I cant judge how good it is at wireless streaming. I had the amazon cube before this and I will say the amazon cube is way better at choosing things for you with the voice recognition with Alexa. I have tried to use the voice remote feature with this device but it is more of a pain than just using the remote. Format on roku is much easier to navigate than amazon cube. I got rid of the cube because it doesn't have the app for vudu which is where a;; my digital downloads are. I know I could have used movies anywhere but some movies dont transfer from certain studios. That being said I cannot figure out where hbo go went for my roku device and they do not have an hbo maxx app currently either. So no matter what device ive tried including my tv to use to stream I have run into areas where there is no ONE solution for all my needs I will say the remote cotrol last feature does come in handy

I like the roku ultra with all the features that I want and love; 4K/HDR/Dolby Vision, "The Works!" I have six Roku Streaming devices, 3 Ultras and 3 Roku 4's, which I have begun replacing. Going to buy this item again for my birthday coming up in a few weeks. Like I said, I like the Roku boxes, But.... Can I have some Bluetooth Pleeeeze!

I was originally waiting for Apple to release a new model of their 4K TV....but could wait no more. This has everything that Apple has for half the price. The remote is very easy, minus the volume control on the side which took some getting used to. Overall, I have not been disappointed with my decision. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to stream 4K content.

Very good picture & streaming speed. Setup can be challenging... but gets done. Voice remote & headphones is great for watching something that the other people in the room may not want to watch! They can work on their laptop or read without you disturbing them. Lastly... like others... I do not like the fact that a credit card must be provided to use the device. But, i guess that eventuality... you'll need it to subscribe to something in the future.
