My cousin likes his Roku and I was having problems with my Fire Cube. I had never really considered the Roku since I was a Amazon Fire user, but I brought it home to try and I could tell a difference how some apps (CBS All Access; HBOMAX) worked much better with the Roku than the Fire Cube. I think the open access programming for the Roku makes a big difference. Good streamer!

We love this product. Simple. Easy to use once it is set up. Only drawback was trying to set it up without needing to input a credit card. I hate needing a credit card on file. I was able to do it but it took a while and was sort of a pain to accomplish. Ease of use is only 3 strictly for that reason. Once it is set up use is very simple. Other then that highly recommend.

The sound is fantastic. It is3s the atmos sound is better than the last version.

A general issue with this unit is that it drops the audio 3-4 times a week when the unit is turned on. I have to manually restart the unit to correct the problem. If you subscribe to Hulu+Live, this unit isn't for you. This issue started about 2 months ago: When I watch Hulu+Live on my Roku Ultra, I get the following error: Error Code: p-dev320. This happens at the end of a program when I watch DVR-recorded programs and when I use the "Start Over" option on Live programs. I have tried wired and wireless settings and there is no difference. I've reset the unit to factory setting, R&R Hulu app, and rebooted the router to no avail. I replaced the Ultra with my Roku Streaming Stick+ 4K. The Roku Streaming Stick+ works with no issues and I never get the "Error Code: p-dev320" error. I use the Ultra in my living room and the Stick+ in my bedroom. The Stick+ has never had issues in either location. Roku was no help saying it's a Hulu problem. Good luck getting support from Hulu (another issue). I got tired of dealing with this issue so I purchased a Stick+ 4K and replaced the Ultra. Problem solved. I won't waste the additional $40 to get the Roku Ultra. The Roku Streaming Stick+ 4K w/earbuds works just as well.
