Very easy to install and is unlimited with features

I have had every generation of Roku they has released and last year's Roku 4 was a buggy piece of junk for months after release and still has HDCP handshake issues form time to time. I figured maybe the 2nd gen 4K capable Roku's would bee more stable, but not by much. Yes they made it smaller, yes they removed the fan, and yse the remote is not matte finish so it does nto look smudgey p all the time, but in the end this is a small evolutionary upgrade to the Roku 4 that adds HDR and a few other goodies, but trades up the rock solid reliability of the Roku 3. The Roku platform is feeling dated. They need a better remote or at least more functionality like a real remote via their IOS/Android apps. As the major cable/satellite companies offer skinny streaming services we need more functionality in the Roku to be like a STB replacement. The only thing stopping me form moving to Android TV is the Amazon Google rift that prevents Amazon Video from being available. The Roku platform needs major refresh and soon

Quad Core -game changer-4K Streaming Seamless-----

This has worked well for me. I was able to plug it straight into my surround sound system and use it immediately. The only people that I have with it is that I use it mostly with the Xfinity App and every time I want to change channels I have to scroll through the guide because the controller does not have number buttons to go straight to a channel.

I've tried Amazon Fire TV and Apple TV, and so far the ROKU is far superior. The remote is so much more stable than that Amazon Fire TV remote and more full featured than the Apple TV. Plus ROKU has a ton of additional channels you can add, most for free! Channels devoted to old westerns, scary movies ,etc. I love it!

This is a pretty good streaming device; more programming options than most people will ever use. Like the suggestions on the home page, and the voice search capability. The only downside I have experienced was Netflix suddenly disappearing from my channels, had a lot of trouble getting it re-installed. If it were not for that, this would be a 5 star item.

Roku has the distinct ability to transform any TV into a media center. The new Ultra takes what was already amazing and makes it brilliant. Now Roku supports apps from Comcast so it is like having a wired TV without the wires. Install Plex, Netflix, Amazon Video/Music and Hulu and the trinity is complete.

Roku still needs to fix up some of the remaining bugs with this unit. In 7.6 firmware they finally fixed the audio delay sync issue which was very annoying. It took them 4+ months so a lot of people were annoyed. Quick, 4k. Biggest downside is the advertising channels on the remote. Let us reprogram or sell us a remote for extra $$$ without it.

Best move I ever made! I ditched the cable which was costing me a fortune, and switched to Roku Ultra. I now have tons of channels and movies to watch, and I don't care what sport you are looking for it has that too! I could not be more pleased and highly recommend this product.

This is our 3rd Roku. I upgraded for the HD output capability. Like the Roku 3, it still needs to be restarted periodically because of freezing or buffering issues. We are a little disappointed that it doesn't have game capabilities like the Roku 3, but it still works well and we are happy with the functionality and display quality.

Easy to set up and use for a person with no experience.

I don't know what it is with this product, but even when I have it plugged into HDMI1 of my 4K TV (which is usually the main input for 4K HDR), the TV seems to not sense it and flips the default resolution to simply 4K instead of 4K UHD HDR. Here's another thing, it does NOT come with a 2.2 rated HDMI cable. The output seems to flip flop triggering my Samsung TV to flicker because the Roku box is either going into HDR mode or reverting back to regular non-HDR 4K. You can't just use any cable too if you're intending to watch content in 4K. All in all, it's a good media player but it didn't really do the trick on my Samsung 6300 4K TV. I already own an Xbox One S and now I just use that as my regular streamer. I really wanted to like this thing. I have 2 of them on my 1080p televisions in my house. But as a 4K streamer, this isn't the box I was looking for (especially at this price, which is a tad too high).

easy to navigate. all the programming I need to enjoy
