This is an outstanding Roku with capabilities I have not seen before. One of my favorite is the ability to turn on a television, and set it to the proper input with just a touch of a Roku button. The wireless networking is outstanding, and simple to set up.

This is my first try at streaming video and I have found it very satisfactory. Some of the subscriptions that allow only one device are disappointing, but that cannot be laid at the feet of Roku. Best Buy staff was very helpful and courteous. Still among my favorite places for electronics.

Bought this as it allows you use a portable drive to play movies you already own. However, Ultra has a design flaw that requires you to use either a powered drive or powered hub to use a portable drive and the size of the drive is limited to 1 TB or less. Since the Ultra already has a power supply, why didn't they design this to unit to supply sufficient power to use a portable drive without external power and also support larger sizes. As a streamer, works well but the remote should have a volume control so you don't have to use two remotes. Also had a problem with Amazon Prime not streaming properly, get a network connection error even when other streaming channels work fine. Don't know if this is an Amazon problem or a Roku problem, but it is still not resolved by either tech support team.

Wish the USB would be able to power a USB 3.0 external drive.

Fast simple get a 32g SD micro card for the best option to store your favorite channels. I use cat 5 so I don't know about wireless on this one. but wireless works perfect on are Roku 3. (some picture/sound issues) that's why we upgraded to ultra.

I bought the roku to cut the cable, the product is very nice, sleek and quiet (no fans on it), the wireless Internet connection is very reliable and so far I didn't experience any buffering on either one of the two units. The only downside is the lack of universal volume control for the TV.

We took the plunge, and unplugged. Purchased the Roku Ultra based on reviews and available options. Have enjoyed the service, but it does require being "reset" once in a while. Other than that it has met the expectations.

Roku is amazing. Very broad range of apps. Love the old TV stuff. Buy the one with a USB and you can put your videos on flash drive and watch through Roku. Just don't use a real hard drive with USB unless it is 2GB or less and has its own plug in power.

Finally cut the cable! We had the amazon fire stick but it's not user friendly to us. Then we read the reviews on roku and bought it. No regrets on buying the ultra roku and we love it. Easy to maneuver and Netflix, Amazon, sling etc. All in one box.

Great product as marketed, but, some issues when playing YouTube videos... I have to exit completely out and back in, very annoying! Also the iPhone remote/app doesn't always connect. Otherwise I love the device and would recommend it for anyone trying the cut out cable services.

Has been working pretty well but on two separate occasions it lost channels, first time a reboot fixed it but on the second time had to wait until I got home. It was saying channel was not available and they are working to fix problem. . . All local channels ! I still like it very much.

This works as advertised. Streams very well, 1080p and great audio. Requires a steaming video service to take full advantage of its features. If you're looking to 'cut the cord' this, in conjunction with an HD antenna should work very well for you.

Formerly used a Sony Blu-Ray DVD player to capture Netflix and Amazon Prime. Other than playing DVDs that's all it was good for. Now with the Roku any web entertainment is available and the sound from the ROKU is outstanding. Worth every penny.

We're really enjoying this device! It's a great alternative or addition to cable TV. Roku ultra provides a great image quality, and a wide variety of apps and channels for free, I'm finally catching up on my Netflix series. We love it so far...

I have a Sony Smart TV and the interface is not the best. Roku offers the best interface by far and the 4 k picture is as good as it gets. The only issue I have is sometimes on Amazon, the sound doesn't come on when I start a program. Exiting and re starting always fixed the problem.

I have ROKU devices on all of my TVs and love the product. I love that I have all of my apps in one location and love all the different things I can do with the device, including taking it with me on the road.

Bought to handle the 4k content my ATV hasn't been able to integrate yet. Unfortunately, the playback was pretty choppy, despite a zippy NAS and gigabit network. Menus are also a bit clunky, remote is pretty awesome though.

A much better product from Roku than there stick devices. My Roku stick HDMI plug was breaking away because of the weight from the HDMI cable and power cable. With this product I do not have that issue. It streams faster and I also like the many choices available through Roku.

The Roku Ultra has difficulty with the SUHD 4K Samsung 65" TV. It works most of the time but an error message pops up periodically requiring the unit to get unplugged then plugged back in. Even with this issue it is still better than of streaming devices we have tried.
