I purchased the Ultra for my main TV and the Roku stick for my kitchen TV. Both work great so I could have saved some money and purchased two sticks. The only difference for me is the usb port for media input which my TV already has.

Easy to setup and works well. Particularly wanted the digital audio out to my older Denin AVR which didn't have HDMI inputs, so I ran Roku HDMI output to my smart tv and the digital audio output to the Denon surround system.

Well, setup was easy and I was pleased that it had an RJ45 connector and an optical out. Seems OK; however, I kept getting HDCP errors that shouldn't happen. Called Roku tech support and they couldn't fix it and had to escalate the issue. The eventually sent me an RMA number and said I needed a new unit. Disappointing. Not sure this unit is quite ready for prime time. There is supposedly some new firmware coming out to partially fix this...waiting for my new unit and we shall see how that goes. I might stay away from the Ultra until they can get this straightened out...

Good product. A little Slow to load the apps, even after adding the recommended microSD card. Once apps open, it's a different story. Scrolls & loads faster. If you don't have a 4K TV, The Roku stick can do a similar job, just missing the headset option.

So many apps, so many watching and listening options. Remote is on it's 3rd set of batteries in 6 months though... that's the only drawback we've seen so far. Our TV remote with the same size batteries has been on the same pair of them for 2 years.

Moved from Roku 3 to Ultra. I have noticed that it often take about 1.5 seconds for audio to start after a youtube of hulu video starts. Sometimes audio will stop entirely and I have to restart the Roku. Also, the remote has needed to re re-paired to the Roku twice in the 6 wkds I've owned it. I can't wait for more HDR content to be available to justify my purchase. FYI I typically run audio: Roku HDMI to TV, SPDIF from TV to sound bar. I ran SPDIF direct from Roku to soundbar to trouble shoot, and I tried a different HDMI cable, but only a Roku reboot fixes the audio problem (when it drop completely). The remote pairing issue might have something to do with my Harmony home hub, but it shouldn't void the factory remote.

I use this as my travel media player due to the USB port. While I love the new smaller form factor I do have to use a Y-USB power cable with any of my USB 3.0 drives due to less available power on this unit. Not a deal breaker just something to keep in mind.

I would give this product 5 star but gave it only 4 because it recognizes a very limited number file formats (MP4, MKV). If you have .avs clips you will have to convert them to one of those Roku would recognize. Other then that it is an excellent product.

Love the Roku. Only one problem no instructions in box and that means a lot of trial and error. Maybe they just forgot to put it in with the one I purchased. Oh well that's why 4 out of 5 review.

This is my first step toward cutting cable out of my life. Trying it out in the bedroom and if we like it then will get another for the main TV room. It is a shame we have so few options for good internet access.

Absolutely love the Roku. There are so many options and it caters to both children and adults. The live streaming option is great! I actually prefer it over our apple tv that we have. Would recommend this to anyone!

This is one of the few units that support full 4k processing, not 'upscaling'. Works as described, although setup can be a bit confusing. You probably don't need the top model that this is, but if you're spending the money on a 4k setup, why not?

The delay from leaving one app to launch another at $100 price point is the reason for the rating. The little $40 roku stick seems to operate faster with a much slower processor. Maybe a Software bug that should be fixed in an update?????

I had a previous model Roku and updated to the new model and I couldn't be happier. I watch Sling, MLBTV primarily on the device and it doesn't have any of the lag like I did with my previous out of date Roku.

I've tried Apple TV, Chrome and ROKU. My ROKUs are hands down the best of the bunch. The new Ultra version outstanding.

I was fed up with local cable rates and a coworker suggested this product. It was easy to set up and I love it! It is so easy to use and I feel like I have more content to watch than I did when I had cable!

The Roku Ultra is a very good product and it does everything that it is advertised to do. The only reason I gave it 4 stars rather than five is because I learned, after the fact, that it does not support Kodi. I need a device that does...

The Roku Ultra Streaming Media Player is easy to set up and provides outstanding 4K resolution for Streaming Channels that provide access to 4K movies and shows. Would definitely recommend to a friend.

While I realize this is the most expensive Roku yet, it is the better of them all. I own the Roku Stick, Roku 3 and not the Ultra and I find this Ultra is the best for streaming and additional features.

Nice unit, performs as described. As per Roku tech support, a class 2 to 4 SD card with maximum of 2-4 GB should be used with this unit. Would have been nice to have sd card included with purchase. Assembled in China
