I used to play my apps from DVD players. Sometimes they do not receive steady wifi signals. This is not the case using Roku. Very stable. Love it.

I ended up returning this device, I have the apple tv but it does not offer 4k so I decided to try the Roku but it does not offer apps like the apple tv but if you use sony vue or Netflix only than this device will be sufficient but because I still have cable and use my streaming device as another cable box and sign in with my provider the apple tv is much better

Roku is a wonderful alternative to cable and satellite systems, 1000s of channels to choose from, better than Apple TV, price was right, as well

We cut the cord with cable, and the Roku is great! There are many free "channels" and we've subscribed to SlingTV as well.

Bought when out of town have other models at home did what I needed girls weekend and wanted to watch YouTube and movies

The only problem I have is that you have to make sure you have the HDMI High-Speed 1080P HDTV cable for the Roku or you get a purple screen.

The Ultra works well except for the occasional chirping sound coming from Dolby Digital interface. This has been noted by others on the forums.

Great media box. Very fast loading and navigating the screen menus. Only wish there was more options that did not require a cable subscription.

Great - Roku - Ultra Streaming Media Player. The only thing that would make it better is if you could record programs.

If you are familiar with ROKU this is more of the same (which I mean as a good thing) but faster and higher resolution.
