this is the true horror fans vampire film! So Creepy and atmospheric

One if the all time GREATS!!! Still as scary as can be years later.

A hard to find great classic horror movie for a great price

This movie was very solid in it time and the make up on the vampire is great, but it doesn't hold up as well today as I was hoping it would.

I love Tobe Hooper and Stephen King both but this PG rated mini-series isn't doing either of them any favors. I remember being not too over the moon about it as a kid but bought the blu as a Hooper completist and hoped maybe I would find a deeper appreciation. All in all I had fun watching this again but it's not nearly as much fun as the barely related Larry Cohen film Return to Salem's Lot that would follow later.

How can you go wrong with classic king .in my opinion the best king made for TV miniseries by far.classic horror from Tobe hooper

Considering this was filmed in 1979 it looks great on Blu-ray.

Great hd conversion and must have for the horror genre.

Terrified me as a kid... AND as an adult. Beautiful transfer.

Blu Ray plays well, no audio sync problems and nice video.

One of the memorable movies growing up. Great book, sure, no question, but the movie itself is one permanently engrained in my memory. That scene, the guy sitting in the chair, rocking, rocking, and looks up with those eyes.... YEAH(!!) that's the scene that will live in my memory forever!!

Salems lot is not a film many people know of unless you really like horror or vampires. It was also a miniseries like IT 1990 and it is definetly creepy. The mystery around Mr Barlow is definitely something to behold. The steelbook is something one should not pass on. A true King classic!

Very excited that this movie is finally out on Blu-Ray. Looks good for how old it is, and still a great movie.

I remember watching this movie when I was a kid back in the Eighties. It was pretty scary as a kid. It still stands up to most of these "New Releases" I highly recommend this movie.

Acclaimed writer Stephen King, and legendary director Tobe Hooper created a wonderful if not campy horror movie. One of the tactfully enjoyable vampire movies of last century. Definitely worth a watch, and worth putting in your collection.

Atmosphere, the scariest vampire ever seen on screen, and price are the three best reasons to get this.

And Stephen King novel adaptation. If you are looking for a gory slash fest, this isn't it. However it works great as a slow-building horror movie. Originally a made-for-tv series, this version is the complete Blu-ray edition. David Soul, in a very under-rated performance, leads an all-star cast.

I can only remember when I was a young child when I first watched this movie! And it scared the "you know what" out of me! But now when I get the chance to watch it again as I am an adult now, and NOTHING scares me anymore! I'm still going to love this nostalgic movie! Awesome can't wait!!
