After reading some reviews, I almost didn't buy it because the mic that came with my karaoke machine wasn't good, didn't pick up sound which was commented on in some reviews. But, a few reviews that said it was pretty good gave me what I needed to try it. I have to say it's a good inexpensive mic. For those who said the sound quality was poor - it could be your karaoke machine. When I plugged it into mine, yeah, it wasn't good. But when I plugged it into my stereo instead, 100 times better.

I purchased this mic a few weeks ago and finally got a chance to plug it into my fostex recorder and see how it works. The sound quality was terrible. I had my guitar only a few inches away and it barely picked up anything at all. I had to put my lips on the microphone and talk to get any type of recorded sound, and even then it was very quiet. If you're looking to record, I'd say forget this mic, although if your just using it for karaoke or something to that effect you might be alright.

Host trivia locally and needed an emergency mic. This one works incredibly well with a sound quality much better than average. Excellent buy.

The microphone seems durable and sounds pretty good too especially when used with a karaoke machine.

I really enjoy this product. I bought it a few days ago and I haven't had any problems with it. This mic is good for Kareokee and for recording songs on the computer. It's easy to handle with little kids as well. I'll say that it is good for home use (personal or with the kids), not for professional (stage) usage.

I hooked up the microphone to an older wireless system for a community center for events/games. Works great.

I bought this to add another mic to our karaoke machine for my 7 yr old daughter's sleep over party. After being sung into for HOURS and changing hands many times, it held up well and sounds as good at the mic that came with the machine.

We purchased a few of these for our Karaoke rooms for our business. Within about three weeks, the cords are breaking and the on/off switches are wearing out. If you are going to use this product a lot....I recommend spending the extra 10-15.00 for the next level Samson Mic. (Model: SCR31S) Quality of the 31S is better and the dis-connectable cord extends the life of the equipment. Also, the 31S is eligible for an extended warranty.

I love the Samson-Dynamic Vocal Microphone. It has no flaws and is totaly worth buying. I cant believe they are selling this microphone for such a low price. I think it should be worth 132 dollars. but it's only $20.00. This product is so amasing. I've used it like 50 times and it still is in mint conditon, no flaws, and is the best microphone ever. So if you want to be in a band, sing, or just want to amplify you're voice then buy this microphone now.

We bought this for my 5 year old daughter's Karaoke machine so she would have another mic for her friends. It works better than the one that came with it.

I needed a mic on very short notice to do interviews in a very noisy room. This mic was everything I needed at a perfect price.

I bought this microphone because the mic that I bought with my karaoke machine broke. The Samsom mic worked well with my old memorex karaoke machine and my casio keyboard. If you're looking for a microphone that has different features of some sort then you would probably want to try another mic, but if you're just looking for something basic to play karaoke this is good enough to get the job done.

I needed a microphone for announcements at my son's wedding and the Samson Dynamic Vocal Microphone worked perfectly for wedding toasts and announcements. We used the input jack on a stereo and this mike was perfect for the job. It has much better sound than the cheap computer microphones.

For this price, the microphone works really good. I use it on my computer and don't need to find an adapter for the plug-in.

It was great and hooks up to iPad apps for songs. Perfect for parties

It hooked up easily to the Karaoke machine we have but the sound quality is not that great. It doesn't pick up your voice very well, so you can't always hear the voice of the person through the mic. I wish it were a bit louder projecting your voice.

Don't get me wrong. If you plug this into a karaoke machine, it'll work just fine. I needed this to do interviews, the problem is that most microphones on sale out there are mono and not stereo. Meaning that it only records sound into one channel and comes out of only one speaker. So, for Karaoke it's fine, but not for my use. They sell adapters that will allow it to duplicate the one channel into two, but these are very hard to find and Best Buy does not carry them.

I plug it into my computer, and the computer to a loudspeaker, and projector, go to You tube and sing along. This setup is better than karaoke. I love it!

I don't use this daily, I may use it once or twice a month doing karaoke at home with friends. No one has complained, so I would recommend to novice users.

You have to keep this mic really far away from your mouth or it will just sound like a storm cloud. It doesnt pick up your straining voice, holding a long note, it will sound awkward when you play it back. My top broke off a few days after I had it, like it was just glued on, which sucked. I really dont like this mic, you most likely wouldnt either, unless your getting it for your young child as in for fun and what not.
