Very solid
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I feel like this mic is slept on for days. I'm impressed with the sound quality of this mic and it's been a huge upgrade from the HyperX Quadcast. From what I've seen it's pretty much on par with the Blue Yeti, but I personally like the sound on the G Track Pro a little better. I also love the ability to use the mic as an audio interface and I have paired this with the Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro headphones with no issues at all. The ability to turn on and off monitoring is also a great feature. I do have 2 downsides but they definitely aren't enough to take away a star for me. I have this mic mounted onto a mic arm and due to the heavy weight, I'm going to have to buy one that's more sturdy. The other complaint is that there aren't any dedicated shock mounts to go with this mic so the only one I could find that works gets in the way of some of the bottom two knobs so it's a little bit of a struggle when I have to adjust any of them. Other than that, it's very solid and a great choice for a USB mic.

Good but not great...
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First impression. Looks very sleek and with a retro feel. The quality is great and easy to set up with computer hardware. The product itself a bit on the heavy side. It also does not sit well in front or behind the keyboard but rather has to be set to either side.

Great quality, especially for the price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wasn’t certain what to expect, but I am very happy with this purchase. I was able to set it up by merely plugging it in and setting it down in front. By definition, plug-and-play. While it has set of robust software controls, the physical controls on the front of the microphone are more than sufficient to handle my most common needs. Microphone mute, microphone volume, input level, microphone pickup pattern, etc. I do a lot of video conferences where using headsets would be annoying. My microphone is set to cardioid and sitting in front of a Harman-Kardin Bluetooth speaker. I get great sound with no feedback loop, which is amazing. I’m a musician which is why I chose to step it up a notch with this purchase. The sound quality is good, very good. Robust and true to life without lots of noise. It would also serve well for podcasting or videoconferencing as there are a number of pick up patterns.

Great for beginners home recording studio
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is not a small mic, it is a little big (4.5x10.5), and 3.5 pounds, but those measurements assured the performance this mic can offer. It comes with multiple settings that allows you to customize your preference, from Omnidirectional, Cardiod, Bidirectional. Sensitivity when another mic is in the area and Mute. The looks is more towards to a professional finish which is very cool with a black metallic finish. It comes with a base where it can be detached. Setup is pretty simple, no software to install, basically al the controls are located in the mic itself. The output is clear, well balanced on Bass, mids and high frecuencies. If you are looking for a close professional voice recording, I think this is a great choise, easy to use, and good performance.

Great mic for gaming.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I game every night and recently started to stream on Twitch. This microphone is definitely an upgrade in sound quality but then again, I was just using my headset mic! I thought about getting the Blue Yeti instead of this one. I spent many hours looking and researching which was better and in the end I chose this one and don't regret it. My sister has a blue yeti she uses for YouTube which I tried for my gaming and the blue yeti picked up a lot of background noise even on the cardiod setting whereas the G-Track Pro did not. The sound is so much more clearer and professional sounding. Great starter mic. I did have an issue with this microphone when I first got it though, the USB that it came with did not work. It turned on the Mic but my PC and laptop did not recognize it as a device. I luckily had a spare laying around and it fixed the issue! This is the ONLY reason why I'm giving this mic 4 stars. Besides the one thing- the mic was easy to set up. All I had to do was plug it in and set it as my default device to work!

Good for Zoom -- and more
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These days, everyone needs a USB microphone, for Zoom conversations and the like. Yes, your computer probably has a microphone, but it's small, and you can't move it. If all you need is a Zoom microphone, this probably isn't your best choice. The sound is the best of the three I've tried, and it has many useful controls (volume, directionality -- also a mute button), but it's big, and heavy; you won't just drag it with you somewhere. If you can accept that, it works well. And -- it has a line input, for hooking up, say, electric instruments. That's why I bought it (though I haven't tried that feature, since all my instruments are acoustic or acoustic/electric. Someday...). If you want a good microphone and can live with the size, this will serve you well enough. But if you want that second input, you'll have to look far and wide to find something better.

TREMENDOUS QUALITY AT A GREAT PRICE
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This mic is totally worth its weight! And it's indeed quite heavy! I mainly use it for my podcasting work but have utilized it enough now to write a review on it. I has a lot of capabilities, such as using it for both voice and instrument recording. It is also useful as a cardioid, omni, and figure eight directional mic. I mainly use it as a cardioid, but will certainly use the omni or figure eight if I do interviews in the future, Hearing my voice across the podcast sights has been a fantastic experience. This mid does a great job in recording my programs - I would highly recommend it to anyone who's getting started in podcasting, etc. and needs some good affordable gear to get started.

For beginning streamers/ pod casters and musicians
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a starting streamer I was looking every where for a good microphone and I would have to say this way out performed what I thought it would for its price point. The sound quality is excellent, paired with great directional settings, very simplistic and easy to adjust as it has your mic/ instrument/ headphone audio dials directly on the mic as well as a mute button. If you pair it with software like rtx voice and enable the noise canceling it makes for probably one of the best mics at its pricepoint You can plug instruments directly into the microphone (big plus for me because I play guitar and bass though I rarely use this function)

Clear sound
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The good: Easy setup, crystal clear sound and cable length is rather long. The bad: none I use this for zoom/skype and gaming set at cardioid. Everyone that I talk to has commented that I sound very clear with out a lot of background noise. I haven't tried recording or using the aux jack on the back but can only assume that it would be as clear/accurate in this setting as well.. I have not experienced the cable issue that some have had (as listed above). I would only say don't give up on this mic and just replace the cable with something better.

Greatish Mic
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound quality is good and it's easy to use. The only reason it gets 3 stars is the fact that finding accessories for it is SO HARD. Even Samson themselves only recently came out with an adapter for their shock mount, and they make the mic! It weighs about 3.5lbs on it's own, meaning if you want a boom arm/mic stand it needs to be able to hold up at LEAST 4lbs. This is hard to come by for cheap. I would still recommend the mic as long as you're willing to pay top dollar for added equipment.

Fantastic Sounding Microphone
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This mic is great. It sounds fantastic. First time I used it with my friends in discord, they were amazed. This mic is better than the overrated Blue Yeti microphone and it is the same price. Also, I would like to mention this thing is built like a tank. It is all high quality metal. This does mean its heavy and a more expensive boom arm is needed if you want to mount this mic. Also, mic is just plug and play. Very Easy to use.

Excellent audio! Easy to use!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this unit several weeks ago so that I could do a podcast. It's a great unit! Excellent audio quality, nice features, and easy to use. Please note that I am using this with a MacBook Pro, which means I had to buy the adapter to plug the mic into the laptop. It does not work with my iPad since the iPad doesn't have enough power to operate the mic. But no loss of points in my book. It's a great product!

Great microphone and interface combo
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This microphone is great. I use it with a PC laptop and appreciate the ease and functionality of it, along with microphone quality. I use it for voiceovers and also for laying down guitar tracks from time to time. I use it with Mixcraft and they work well together. Sometimes, I need to adjust the latency but that comes with the territory. It is a bit heavy when using it with the base. It is not meant to be a portable microphone. Highly recommend.

Love It
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It sounds and works great. I love it. I was lucky bit to have the issue with the bad USB cable that many others had. But I did run into a big headache with having to fix the computer and software programs. This Mic will not work if the sample rates aren't identical across all your audio settings. Once you get it set up though, it's a great microphone. I even use the headphone monitoring port as an aux audio out with the Mic plugged into a USB power brick and you can use it without a computer.

Real champ
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaced my Samon meteor mic and while my friends could tell the difference I mainly got it for the front controls and for my own reasons. It's a little heavy but still works well on my cheap-o boom and pretty huge, but my pop filter still fits. Overall, it's overkill for discord chat and could easily be used for high end podcasting and streaming.

G-Track review
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Did a lot of research on this before I bought it. I found that this is a top mike that you can buy for the money. It features an interface that most mikes don't, and includes a quarter inch jack to plug in a guitar or other instrument with a separate volume control. Also has a mute button, and 4 controllable mike patterns. It is very heavy; therefore there may be a problem using a boom unless it is heavy duty. Love this mike.

Great mic that looks and sound professional
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wow! super impressed with this mic. Very clear with a lot of depth to the sound. Doesn't sound tinny or muffled. Crystal clear for voice and room sound. I use it for Zoom calls and everyone has been impressed with the sound quality. It looks just as impressive. Installation was a snap and the drivers updated on installation.

Good for voice over
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Using this for voiceover work. It works great. The sound quality is excellent. I initially thought something was wrong when i put on stereo mode and only the left ear had sound with my headphone but it's supposed to be like that. It is a mono microphone. I couldn't get the free software that it came with registered but just using a freeware called Audacity. It's easy to use.
