Pass - Too many non standard parts

Typically don't write reviews but taking extra time for this item because i was burned not once but twice. The Bad 01 - This mic lost power two days in a row. It appears to be working fashing red indicating low power....however, flashing red left audio broken. The mic was in use for less than two hours on each event. Maybe it was operator error. 02 - receiver is has internal rechargable batter - only option. Impossible to fix low power situation other than stopping and recharge. Uses old usb mini - b cord. 03 - transmitter uses AA batteries. Can quicky sove a situation if you experience low power; but yet there is no rechargable option.... why not the same as the receiver? 03 - lav mic has a "special" proprietary plug. You will NEVER find another except from Samson. Means you can get an off the self replacement if desired. The Good 01 - it has a great clamping mechanisms 02 - easy to connect. 03 - easy features...and they worked. I would not recomend. If you need something like this, take a look at the Sony bluetooth mic or Rode Wireless Go, or DJI wireless mic with carey case that charges transmitter and receiver.

We ended up returning this item. When it worked, it was great. But more often than not there was disruption/feedback/static every time.

    Not useful

Unfortunately, this microphone needs to be very close to the mouth in order to pickup the voice. Wearing it clipped onto clothing does not get it close enough to be a useful device. Our professional presenter, who is used to having to project, still could not be heard unless he help the microphone in front of his mouth. Had I known that, I could have purchased a handheld instead.

    Faulty port

After just a few months of use, the port on the receiver stopped working. It was a process of elimination to figure out what failed. The pairing still works and I can hear the microphone when using headphones. But finally deduced that the outbound port on the receiver was faulty. So disappointing!

I purchased this mic and followed the start up instructions. The equipment never worked. I contacted Samson and filed a claim. They were horrible to work with. Never did get my replacement. So, I can't speak to the quality.
