Didn’t have high hopes for this mic as it is tiny and super cheap. But the reviews convinced me to make the purchase. Well... it blew all expectations out of the water. So long that you speak directly into the mic at an equal level to your mouth (i.e., not speaking from the side and not on a surface lower or higher than your mouth), it will sound crystal clear. Small mic pops still occur (it’s not perfect but hey it’s easy to use and $49) but they are very rare if you have fulfilled the above conditions. HIGHLY recommend for all endeavors - my friend and I use it for podcasting. It can support two voices at once so long that you’re both speaking straight on/directly into the mic and it additionally does well recording audio over zoom.

I got this to use with my company issued HP laptop. Works great and much better sound quality than the built in microphone. Been using it for zoom conference calls and also outgoing/incoming phone calls through our Cisco phone app. Nice to be hands free vs a mic/headset combo. For $ 40, well worth it and the size is great! Setup was a breeze, plug and play, nothing to download. Clips onto the lap top and easy to store in a laptop bag or backpack.

Great little mic for both vocals and podcasting. Portable and just a great one to have in your kit

What a great buy! The mic on my computer stopped working. I had Zoom call coming up and I didn't have time to leave my laptop with the Geek Squad to troubleshoot the problem (yet). I found this Go Mic on the shelf, plugged it in and it works like a charm.

PROS: 1. Easy to install (plug and go). 2. Easy to pack away (comes with a pouch bag that stores everything well) 3. No problems being heard in gaming environments (often told to turn it down actually). 4. Very strong clamp to hold onto laptop monitors or desk areas. CONS: 1. Instructions are rather simple and left some confusion. I had to go on their website and then Google the terminology to understand what the mic options did. 2. This mic I purchased in Fall of 2018. It now has died in Spring of 2020. Rather disappointing as the construction suggested otherwise. Only used it for gaming on my desktop and sometimes my laptop.

I needed a microphone since during web meetings other people were having trouble hearing the people on my end while using my laptop built in microphone, unless we got directly in front of and close enough to the laptop . I wanted a small one that would clip to my laptop, This one clips very securely to the top of my laptop. The information said it was plug and play and it almost was. The first time I plugged it in to my USB the microphone worked well but my built in speakers stopped working. After about 10 minutes of playing around with microphone and speakers settings it worked fine. Each time since then all I need to do is plug it in and it works fine. It picks up my voice and others sitting near me without having to adjust the microphone position. There are a few directional settings on a small switch and it was easy to test with someone in the meeting by trying out the various switch positions. It packs nicely in the small case provided, though the provided cable does not fit in the case.

Wanted better audio than the default Lenovo Thinkpad mic. Do a lot of webinars and bought this in particular to record screen walkthrough with voiceover. I like that this is small and portable. Keep in mind I recorded this in a hotel room with AC going on in the background so I couldn't have a really nice mic that picked up everthing. I started using a Samson Bullet and it picked up the fan in the background so back it went. This Go Mic blocked out the fan in the background using the -10db mic setting. I recorded with all 3 different settings and that's the one that worked recording a how to with just screen capture and voice without getting in too much background noise. I use this on the road in less than ideal conditions. I wouldn't use this with anything but simple voice. My home mic for recording voice is an xlr mic with 286 preamp/processor. I rated this 5 stars because it perfectly met my needs of recording a simple voiceover how to video using screen capture sw and not because it's the best mic out there. It works for me because it's not very sensitive at the -10db setting.

Looks good to start and has it's own stand which combines as an attachment clip which you can snap anywhere on the laptop. It is sensitive and multi directional in addition to being able to swivel on the base. It has an on off switch, if needed, as well as independant volume control, A color light signals that it is on and recieving input, It is also a breeze to set up and connects easily with the attached USB cable. I was looking to improve my audio in meetings without taking up a lot of desk space. This microphone greatly improved my audio (according to others) while being a nice small and compact unit, that also folds up for easy portability. While it doesn't sound as great as the its bigger brother, it is fairly close and MUCH better than my built-in microphone.

Easy to install n use. Eliminated our internal mic cutting out every 8 seconds or so. Much clearer sound as well. Very happy with it . Small, compact great buy and easy to use regularly. My wife is not very tech savvy and she has no issues setting it up to Zoom with friends. Been using for over a month now.

I like that the microphone is compact - it fits in the palm of my hand. I don’t consider myself to be Tech savvy but this mic is very easy to figure out how to use. The sound quality is also excellent . Lastly it has a clip so you can clip it to something when in use!

The microphone on one of my computers wasn't working so I got this external portable mike to replace it. The installation was easy and it works great. An added benefit of the portability is that I can use it on any of my other computers if I have trouble with the built-in mike. A microphone is essential for Zoom sessions and this one does the job. Highly recommended.

Easy to use and provides good sound quality at an economical price! I use it with my laptop during Zoom meetings. All you need to do is connect it through a USB port. It clips right onto a laptop.

Small and super portable, perfect for recording things on-the-go. It fits right into any small pocket on my computer bag and folds out nicely. Great sound from it, too.

The internal mic in our laptop was not very good for musical performances, so we purchased the Samson Go Mic. The latter is reasonably priced, easy to use (plug-and-play), compact, and yields a much fuller sound in recordings. It appears to be sturdily built, should last for a long time, and comes with a small zippered storage case.

I purchased this microphone to help with online streaming our church services. It sits on the pulpit and is hardly noticable on the video. I checked with others and have reviewed the video and the audio is astounding. It is pretty much plug and play. When I plug it in now it automatically changes the microphone source from the factory mic to the Samson mic. It works very well for our needs and would definitely recommend this to others.

It is a good little mic and works well as long as one is speaking directly into it. Easy to hook onto my laptop and it comes with a nice little carrying case.

The portable USB microphone is small, easy to use and of good quality.
