PROS: 1. Easy to install (plug and go). 2. Easy to pack away (comes with a pouch bag that stores everything well) 3. No problems being heard in gaming environments (often told to turn it down actually). 4. Very strong clamp to hold onto laptop monitors or desk areas. CONS: 1. Instructions are rather simple and left some confusion. I had to go on their website and then Google the terminology to understand what the mic options did. 2. This mic I purchased in Fall of 2018. It now has died in Spring of 2020. Rather disappointing as the construction suggested otherwise. Only used it for gaming on my desktop and sometimes my laptop.

We purchased this back in May 2020. We loved it for our zoom meetings, it worked way better than my laptop mic for our group. I like it’s small profile. I have two issues with it tho. The little case that they send you for it does not accommodate the connection cord. Second - it appears to have just died on me and its less than 6 months old.

The quality of the microphone is really good. Never any complaints about sound from anyone on the other end of a video call. That being said, it is supposed to clip to a monitor for use. It never stays in place because it is very poorly balanced. One touch of the microphone and the whole thing falls. It either needs to be better counter-weighted or the clip needs to have a stronger grip.

Too much white noise for even amateur production quality. I got it because of the good reviews, and I think it is very well built in terms of build design and portability. However, I got the impression that there would be almost zero hiss/white noise and while it wasn't unusable, the quality was not satisfactory to make music. I think for podcast/voice recordings it would be far more suitable.

The Samson microphone works fine for my purposes, but I wouldn't recommend it for podcasting or music recording. I needed a mic for Cortana and Google on my desktop computer and it does the job well. I'd recommend it on that basis only. A couple of negatives: the supplied software (via download) has no documentation I can find and experimentation hasn't made it work ... and the carrying case that comes with the mic is large enough for it and its clip but not for the absolutely necessary USB cord.

Easy to use, compact, could be faster. Decent price.

It worked well right out of the box as a microphone. However, the sound was automatically routed to the headphone jack on the microphone and not the laptop speakers. Going to the Sound Settings and selecting the laptop internal speakers did not fix it. I had to go to the Sound Control Panel and disable the Samson Go-Mic speakers to get the sound to route to the laptop speakers. I tried two different laptops with the same results. So it requires a bit of tech to set it up. Otherwise it worked great and would have had a 5star.

Works well when you don't want to use your laptop's microphone or looking for a little better quality sound. I have used it outside and it blocks the wind noise.

I bought this Mic for dictation to save time on homework, I spend even more time proofreading and making corrections than if I had just typed the work myself. This Mic picks up every word in the vicinity during my dictation

This microphone is very useful and made very well. This is good for basic use or as a back up. Doesn't seem to have a really good speaker.

The base for stand mounting is too big for my.mic stands and tripods. Mic was just a tad better than the mic in my laptop

It's OK. While it is a little clearer than a webcam mic, it doesn't blow me away.

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the microphone. I was also very surprised at how small it was. I’m using it for streaming live online and it works like a charm. Nobody complains about any type of echo or Boxee sound.

the mic did not work with my older laptop. I like the compact size of the product.

I was hoping for a big step up from the computer mic being used during live-streaming. My biggest issue was echos form a bigger room. It was definitely an improvement, but not enough to recommend this if you’re looking for high quality.

I bought this so I could talk with people over Skype. Does okay when It is hooked up right. Only problem is it is hard to tell because sometimes it lights up and sometimes it doesn’t. Overall, it is a good hands free mic.

The mic is good, the only problem when you are using it, the sound is route into the headphone jack on the mic and you will need a headset in order to listen. Without this problem, it will be great.

This was purchased because the item I wanted was sold out. It really didn’t do what I needed mainly because it has to be stationary and connected to a device. Returning

I purchased this in the hopes that it would be better than the built in microphone on the Lenovo Yoga laptop. It ended up being no improvement.
