Quality product, picks up sound well. The mute button is wonderful. Looks like a Portal turret.

This little mic sounds pretty good and could not be easier to use with a laptop or iphone. It plugs right in and works. It’s also great that it works as a simple usb interface allowing you to use headphones not only to monitor what you are actively recording, but also to hear the what youre recording along with from the computer/phone if you’re layering tracks in garage band or some other audio workstation program. Let’s hope it’s reasonably durable.

I tried all sorts of mics for recording voice for video production. Most of them are designed for phones. This worked well, is portable, noise reduction is excellent beond the range needed, simple to plug in and use.

I'm only just getting into podcasting with some buddies so I picked this mic up on sale. We used it on the roof of his apartment with a wind screen, recording into a MacBook Pro running audacity (free software). We were 8 stories up with a little wind and the sound was good. It surprised us considering the conditions we were recording in. I say grab one if it fits your needs.

Great product—really improves the audio quality for zoom calls. I conducted a day-long deposition by zoom with this microphone and had none of the audio issues associated with my passable laptop microphone. I like that it folds up to a small size for easy transport, then unfolds to a convenient tripod. Looks sharp, feels solid; only downside for me is that it takes up a little desk space.

I liked this microphone so much that I purchased four more! I use it primarily for dictation in conjunction with Dragon Naturally Speaking. The sound quality is excellent and operation with the speech recognition software is definitely improved compared to less expensive, plastic mics. The look is nice, too, and the legs fold up for easy transport in an included cloth bag.

First off, I was torn between this mic and the Blue Yeti mic. I watched some Youtube videos comparing the two and I couldn't tell a difference. I took it one step further and bought both. I streamed with them both for a week and then watched my feeds. WOW! It was impossible to tell a difference. I actually preferred the Meteor because it looked a lot cooler and really did sound the same.

This is a compact, sturdily constructed microphone. The fact that the legs can fold up for transport is very convenient. The legs are adjustable so that you can change the orientation of the microphone to suit your needs. Once adjusted, the legs hold their position. I purchased this microphone to use for online instruction. I am a teacher, and with all of this nonsense going on classes are being held online. I have asked everyone that I have interacted with online about the sound quality of this microphone and all have reported that the sound quality is excellent. They all say that my voice is clear, and the volume of my voice is good. Again, this is a well constructed microphone that is perfect for online meetings and such. It may not be professional grade, but it gets the job done nicely. I would purchase this microphone again, and would recommend it to anyone for basic online zoom type conferencing/meeting.

In receiving the Samson Meteor Mic. it was everything and more than what I expected. Upon receiving Meteor Mic I was so impressed with it's quality and design I wondered if the sound it was engineered to produce was equivalent . I was not left disappointed it was everything the reviews stated and the best part as for myself was the fact it's so transportable and easy to set up.

When I purchased this item, it was to replace a broken mic. I'm a person who uses a mic constantly over the internet. But I had trouble setting the thing up because it is a portable mic. What had happened to me, I plugged the thing in and all the sound went to the mic. I was confused then I found out that I had to edit some sound settings so that sound would go back Into my headset. Other than that I can't see what else to say negitivly aboub it. Maybe the pice, but I bought this item when it was on sale! So if you don't like the price, you can wait. But if you like it, it's worth it.

She wants to be a singer and so I got her a decent microphone with noise cancellation. She absolutely loves this thing. Best deal for the money.

Easy to use and I like not having a mic pinned on my shirt or otherwise wearing a mic. Works well in video chat settings or podcast settings. Transmits good voice quality. Thumbs up.

Does a good job of catching general conversations when set in a central location. Ideal for persons who are hard of hearing.

I'm the Regional Engineering Manager for almost 50 radio stations in the Midwest. With the Covid-19 virus on the loose we needed to have our DJs work from home but sound live and local. These Samson Meteor USB mics were PERFECT! They sound like our $350 mics in the studios, and it's what we bought everyone to use. Problem solved.
