The Meteor USB Microphone is a mixed bag. My experiences with the mic were not good, but I will start with some positives to be fair. 1. Its extremely portable and can be set up anywhere. 2. The 3.5 aux connection on the back of the microphone is useful for directly listening to recordings. 3. Easy to plug in and use. However, the negatives (at least for me) outweighed the positives. 1. Produces a lot of background noise which is very hard to edit out in video processing. If you increase the volume on the microphone, or the gain in video software, the buzzing just gets worse. 2. Its very sensitive to wind and blowing sounds. 3. The microphone really needs you to get up-close and personal with it to produce the best results. From faraway, say 6 inches to a few feet away, the background noise becomes too rough for you to hear your own voice. In short, I wouldn't recommend it. Unless you are a traveler, I would not recommend buying this item. Its unstable.

Very easy to install. We have NO issues. This was installed to use with Zoom, a product that was new to us so we needed the microphone. You cannot go wrong when buying this product.

It is a great first time mic requiring little set up to get going.

I needed a microphone for my home office. This one was in the price point I was looking for, and it works for rate.

Sounds as good as the Yeti and is smaller so easy to travel with

We are using this mic to record training videos and the sound quality is not only amazing, but it also drowns out all of the background noise. This was an excellent purchase. I would highly recommend this for any recording you do on a PC.

If you’re like me, someone who’s starting a YouTube channel or you’re creating a pod cast. Having good audio is a must. This Samson Meteor mic has been well worth the price and a true bump up in sound quality. It’s built extremely well and looks even better.

This is a pretty good little mic. Gets the job done. Was very easy to set up and install. Actually it was for my 12 year old son’s gaming pc. When it was shipped I put it in his room and after he got home from school I heard him and his friend talking, and just thought he had him on speaker phone, but he already had his mic. up and was using it. Lol. So it’s simple. The quality seems excellent. It doesn’t feel cheap. It’s small, but has some weight to it. So it stays in place pretty good without additional grips or anything on its fold out legs. His friends say they can hear him loud and clear. So all in all - good buy.

Purchased for use in a Zoom meeting. Much improved from the microphone in the camera. I was impressed with the range that we are able to get with this amazing mike.

Bought the mic for gaming and works great. Took a minute to get it to work right with my computer but after that no issues.

Super simple setup. Basically, plug & play ease of use with my Mac. Great way to add audio to projects or get a podcast going.

Works great, bought it for my wife. She needed to be able to her dictations at home. The product is better than the one we bought from Amazon.

I like the design. The mixture between the famous 1980's condenser mic and its futuristic look makes it unique. The folding feature of the mic makes it easy to store in locations. It's USB wire makes it easy to plug in anywhere that is needed.

I bought this for my husband who is a doctor and has to dictate his medical records. He is very happy with this microphone. Says it is the best he has ever used.

This microphone sounds great. I no longer get the complaint that I am choppy. I will say that it is probably more microphone than I need, but I am very happy with it.

This is a very good sounding microphone for the price. It is nice to have a mute button as well. The microphone can also be mounted onto almost any standard microphone stand.

This sounds good to me for normal videos and chat.

This is a great external mic. I can’t deal with headphones all day so this is my go to with an external camera. Good sound for not a big price.
