I purchased this to use with my mixer and interface setup for my YouTube channel. It has both XLR and USB cables. With the right adapters you can use the microphone and usb cable with iPhone or iPad.

Great mic. Lousy stand attachment

I hate it when mic positions change on their own—and the swivel on this one behaved as though it was 10 years old by taking a bow every time it was attached. The screws holding that are supposed to hold the mic to the boom arm were too loose and impossible to tighten. First of all, they were the rounded, flathead type which made them impossible to counter rotated them without a third hand; secondly, they appeared to have been loctited in place because they would not budge. Best Buy is great on returns, but I’d passed my window.

The only annoyance is the noise that’s present when input volume and output volume is set to max. To work around it, I set both to 50% and enable noise cancellations in my post processing workflows. The other annoyance is that the mic’s wrapper is hard to put on.

For the most part it has been reliable. I give this mic a 1 to 2 year life span before some parts might not work so well. Overall, it met my needs for a podcast.
