The case has been resigned and not for the better. You used to be able to adjust the protective area for the size of the laptop and that is long gone. It also has a cheaper feel to it. Still overall not a bad case, just not up to the older version features.

Previous bag from a different brand lasted me about 4 years and not a single rip. I still have it and switched back to it until I find a new one I like.

There are other swissgear backpacks about $10 cheaper than this

I carry two laptops, tablet, and a bunch of other things that make me a portable IT Department. I put any backpack I've ever owned through a very rigorous daily routine. The fact that this is lasted me 2 years when other backpacks hardly make it 6 months, says a lot about this backpack. I need a ton of pockets and places to put things, and this really delivers.
