This bag may be 17.3" at it's highest point but it will not fit a 17" laptop because of the rounded corners. I have a MSI GT72 and it still stands above the highest point. And there's little or no padding at the bottom of the laptop pouch.

This bag is perfect for the day to day work commuting . It has too many pockets for all my other devices.

Plenty of room for more than just a laptop. Able to carry 15" laptop, IPad, Chargers, etc. Headphone pouch is great to hold phone, wallet and other items when going through airport security. Just a good backpack to use for any situation.

It is a very well designed, well thought out and durable backpack. I use it for everyday use and business trips. It fits nicely underneath the seat on the airplane.

This is an excellent bag. It is very spacious on the inside. It can hold my son's very large gaming laptop. He is very happy with it.
