      If the door hook is broken, it won't release the door properly, preventing the door from opening. If the door hook is broken, replace it. Inspect the door latch for damage. If the door latch is broken, replace it.

    We were looking for a replacement for our dead microwave -- may it rest in pieces. We got more than we asked for at a decent price. We missed the mention of the grilling element on the package at the store. Basically a broiling element that you need to elevate most items(with a provided rack) to use. Also comes with a crisping tray to preheat and cook food on. Haven't tried these features yet, but at least they are trying to avoid gray soggy microwave food. It was more spacious than we expected and the ceramic interior should be easier to clean.

    I bought this Samsung over a slightly taller Panasonic because of a sale Best Buy was having. I've only used it for a week so far, but I'm happy with my choice. I don't know if this is normal for microwaves, but the electric cord is very short. It's the same length as the microwave and comes out of the far right side. Unless you are putting the microwave directly in front of an electric outlet, or to the left of an outlet, you will need an extension cord. The only other surprise so far is that symbols appear during operation but there is no explanation for the symbols inside the owner's manual. My guess is that it's to show what mode (microwave versus grill) the machine is currently in, but I think it's odd how there's no explanation for them. Other than those 2 things, I've been satisfied so far with my purchase. The machine heats food/liquid well and looks great. The interior light illuminates food during cooking fine. The machine is small enough to fit in limited counter space but large enough inside to properly heat a meal. I don't eat microwave popcorn to be able to test it, but it looks tall enough inside for a bag to full inflate and still rotate. Operation is straightforward, easy. The small size also made the box a manageable weight for one person to lift alone. All in all, if due to space or budget, you have to limit yourself to this smallest/cheapest of the in-store Samsung models at Best Buy, then this is a nice Samsung choice.

    This microwave tends to take longer to heat food up. I'm used to over the range microwaves and miss it. I have now renovated my kitchen and am going back.

      I highly recommend checking on links for basic troubleshooting steps:
      Cook food too slowly. Make sure the oven has its own 20 amp circuit line. Operating another appliance on the same circuit can cause a voltage drop. If necessary, move the oven to its circuit. See page 31 for reference.

    The microwave itself works great, looks good, has great functions and cleans really well. Plus, it came with a pizza rack which is pretty cool! My biggest and only issue for not giving this a 5-star rating is because the button to open the microwave is sometimes clunky. Meaning, sometimes it opens with just one click, but other times I have to click about 2-3 times to get it to open. Maybe I should've just returned or exchanged it, but I was hoping it was a "new product" thing and it would go away. It hasn't, but it's not so bad that I can't deal with it so I kept it. Overall, I do really like the microwave and think it works great!

    This microwave is small, but does a good job of heating foods evens and thoroughly. It fits a full-size dinner plate, a cup of coffee or a bag of popcorn. It is small, but works well for our family or four. We recently remodeled our kitchen and decided to remove our over-range microwave to replace with a vent hood. We wanted a countertop microwave that would not eat up valuable counter space and this works perfectly.
