Disappointing experience
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After using this microwave for about a month, the door stopped working. We had to push the button and pull the door open. Samsung sent out someone to repair, and to our surprise they took the microwave with them instead of repairing on site. Over a week later they bring it back, door still not opening, and the body of the microwave now warped! He told us to contact Samsung again, and Samsung then assigned us that same repair guy, who never responded to the request. We now feel helpless as we are stuck with a piece of junk. I did not expect this customer experience after having such good luck with previous Samsung products.

Gets the job done - not rocking my kitchen
Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Our space requires a small microwave. This fit the space and was reasonably priced. So far, the most annoying trait is that the carousel goes off track pretty easily. Be sure to place lopsided loads toward the middle of the glass. We have not used the grill feature, so critique on it will have to wait. I would probably purchase it again.

Nice, but where's the light and too many smudges

We were shocked to realize that there was no light when you open the door. The grill feature is something we should read on, but we don't find it useful, since we just use it to defrost and heat up food. Maybe, it is a great feature. Also noticed it smudges with finger marks easily. Always having to clean the front isn't practical.

Not the best

Bought an open box with condition marked excellent, however the bottom right side is dented so it wouldnt sit straight until we propped it.

Heats unevenly

We understand your position towards microwave heating on your Samsung microwave model. Let us help you with your experience.
Food that contains higher amounts of water tends to absorb microwave energy with higher efficiency whereas food with lower water content absorbs heat more slowly. In addition, varying densities of the food may cause uneven heating.
A quick solution would be to cover food with uneven moisture content and or stir the food regularly. Another would be to arrange your dishes where the bigger pieces are towards the outside of the turntable and the smaller/thinner food towards the center of the turn table.

Failed Product, Bad Customer Service
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this microwave on March 18, 2015 and on May 6, 2015 it just died while I was using it. My previous microwaves have lasted a minimum of 5 years so I did not buy Best Buys extended coverage. Best Buy won't help me because it is past 15 days. So now I am here without a working microwave. This is my final Best Buy purchase! Good company practice would be to let me exchange it for another one. I actually still have my receipt and still they won't do anything.

Didnt last very long

Was nice, until it died.

I do not even use it heavily. I had a cheap name brand one before I bought this one, and I owned it for 10 years with no problems. I kinda of wish I hadn't donated the old one to charity now. Ugh, what happened to the days when products were made well. I am sure it is still covered by warranty, but the return process it is just such a hassle. Oh well, what are you going to do? Not buy a Samsung appliance again, I guess.

Door quit opening, less than 2 years old

Otherwise the Sharp was still working just fine. This Samsung is a complete piece of garbage. In less than 2 years the door quit opening and it starts running when you push the door button. After this and all the safety issues with Samsung washing machines Iwill never buy another one of their appliances again.

Decent microwave - BUT Shifty on what's included

In what world does a microwave not come supplied with something as simple as a turntable. Apparently this model was supplied with the 2 additional items; a rack (Which is supposed to rest on TOP of the turntable) and a ceramic plate which does not interface with the turntable mechanism. Even in the product photos of this item shows that the glass turntable is included.

Terrible Product

Barely used, It is noisy when its working.... Reached out to customer service with Samsung it is useless.

Light use, dead in 3 years

For the price point, I thought I was getting a decent small-to-mid-sizes countertop microwave. This thing died in three years. Lost complete power. I thought maybe it was a fuse, so I risked electric shock to replace that. It blew the fuse again (when popping open the door). Seems like a switch malfunction that will cost more to fix than buying a new one. Disappointing landfill fodder. Unfortunately, this is just one of the new/newish Samsung products I have had to fix or replace. I won’t buy another Samsung product again.

worst microwave ever

Only about 1 month after I purchased this unit, the power would suddenly shut down when I used convection oven function. I called Samsung, and technician came over to fix the problem. More recently, the same issue re-occurred. Called but Samsung said it just passed warranty, so can not fix it under warranty, though it is exactly the same problem. Very frustrated. I also had a samsung washer which was also under recall, and still did not receive refund check. Guess what? I will not buy any Samsung products going forward. A very frustrated consumer
