Does what we need for a microwave
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Our 7 year old microwave was on its last legs so we went looking for a replacement. Needed to heat water, defrost food, reheat leftovers and fit in the space where the previous microwave lived (not on the counter). This microwave does all of that. It also has a couple features we haven't used yet. One is a tray that you put in the unit for 3 minutes and it gets hot. Then you put a piece of left-over pizza on it and voila a crispy bottom, not a soggy slice. It also has a regular heating unit which is an interesting idea.

As far as microwaves of this size..it’s great. My only,only “negative “ is I do wish the numbers lit up so can see better. Not sure if even available.. just my older eyes I suppose. LOL

Read the reviews and like many review sites, they were somewhat mixed. Jumped in on this one due to size, the Samsung name and a few nice features. Well it is quiet, temperature accurate and "fits the need." I even like the cool blue lighted time display. As I have not had it more than a month, I cannot verify its long-range veliability, but so far, this is a winner !

Great price - great microwave

The heating element feature really adds a level of usefulness.....it allows you to combine the use of a heating element with the speed of the microwave for better tasting reheats and in some cases actually cooking and grilling. This won't replace your oven. But it's a great feature to have in a microwave....especially for this price.
