Solid, Easy to Use Microwave

We left it with the buyers of our house and purchased this one for our new home. It is large enough for anything we cook or reheat in it, and does the job well. It came with a crisper that is great for reheating pizza etc.

The door wouldn't pop open after pushing the latch release. The door had to be opened by pushing the release with one hand and pulling the door open with the other hand. Poor design. I read that another reviewer had the same problem (twice) so decided to return the unit and get another model. Otherwise, everything else worked fine.

Thought it might have been the food so I tried to heat up a bowl of water and sure enough the same smell came out from the side. It's probably some wiring or some component inside that got fried. I'm scared to use it now. Not worth burning my house down.
