||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this microwave 6 months ago and the last few days I noticed this burning rubber or something like that coming out of the side of this microwave. Thought it might have been the food so I tried to heat up a bowl of water and sure enough the same smell came out from the side. It's probably some wiring or some component inside that got fried. I'm scared to use it now. Not worth burning my house down.

It was a Deluxe model and I decided to economize, trying to downsize now. I should have stuck with Sharp. I returned the first one, not happy with it or the features at all and then it quit working. The second one works but has same short comings as the first one. It does work but the computerized settings overcook everything except baked potatoes which are undercooked. The instruction book print is very small. The print on the control panel is also hard to read. I use a small LED flashlight to read it because it is gray on black, bad choice. I will return this one too if they will take it back. I think I wil go back to Sharp.

The altitude and the type of cookware you are using can affect the cooking time. When trying a new recipe, use the minimum cooking time and check the food occasionally to prevent overcooking.
