It worked fine until today, when it completely died. I have tried to plug it in multiple outlets, all which are working just fine. This microwave doesn't turn on. It doesn't do anything at all. I've been a pretty big supporter of all things Samsung but, to say the least, this is pretty lame that the microwave didn't even last two years. I don't think I've ever owned anything that has crapped out on my this fast.

It would also make a growling noise off & on. The exterior sides & front were HOT to the touch. It was difficult to use the control pad as it was hard to push - always took at least 3 pushes on each number before it would enter.

The turntable is designed to, well, turn. The continuous rotation generally assists the microwave in providing more even heating of your food. When it's not rotating correctly, there's often a grinding noise (or the setting is turned off). A dirty track or roller ring can also cause it to get stuck. Finally, make sure it's positioned correctly so it can work.

In some households, the microwave is used more than any other kitchen appliance. If you keep your microwave clean, old food won't stick around, and there will be no funky smells. Remember, it is easier to clean messes right after they happen, and if you clean the microwave periodically, that sticky film won't form. Here's to having a microwave that's squeaky clean.
Caution: Never use any type of abrasive cleaner or solvent, such as alcohol, benzene, ammonia, or paint thinner, in the microwave. Also, never use steel wool or bleach. When the last died, I thought I would try something different and I was intriqued by the grilling effort that could brown the top of microwave prepared dishes. Bottom line: the Samsung felt underpowered at a 1000 watts, defrosting took forever, and i never tried the grill feature. We are taking it back and getting a Panasonic with the inverter and 1200 watts power.
