Had a Whirlpool that went out on us twice within a year and a half. We decided to get this Samsung, which also matches the Samsung range we have. So far, so good. It runs really quiet and has a nice look. Very pleased with my purchase and the installation of it.

The reason I gave It 4 Stars Is You have to hit enter after you hit the add 30 seconds button, kind of annoying, and you cant cook if you have the timer on, again kind of annoying, my other Samsung microwave didn't have these issues, but I guess that's what you get with a $ 150 microwave, I will just deal with it ... Other then that I am very happy with the unit and the price.

I've bought expensive models, and I've bought small countertop models from thrift stores. There are only minute differences, usually involving slightly longer cook times of the weaker models. Everything these days has a shortcut button for popcorn, potatoes, or reheating various meals. Everything has a turntable. Most have that metal rack in the middle that NOBODY uses. That being said, I really like this microwave. Simple. Does the job. Sure, it doesn't have a fancy inverter like some do (what this means is that a 50% power setting actually MEANS that the microwave cuts on and off... so it's 100% power at 50% of the time vs actually lowering the power to 50% like more expensive models) but it essentially works the same. The simple keypad interface makes using and programming the unit very intuitive (unlike a super expensive model my mother owns which has a dial, and I can't figure out how to even turn it on) Anyway, this is a great product. Don't get tricked into spending an extra hundred bucks for almost identical features. This unit will do everything you need it to. I'd definitely buy another one.
