However, it only lasted 2.5 years before it needed replacing. I love my samsung phone and tvs, but I won't buy the cooking appliances again.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The performance of the microwave is great, but I had two issues with it: 1) The template for cutting out space for the overhead exhaust made me cut way more than I think was necessary. 2) The little plastic disc with wheels that goes underneath the carousel was broken when I opened the box- it was missing about a third of the plastic and a wheel. The microwave still works, but the carousel is not perfectly level. So overall, great product, just minor things that made me not give it 5 stars.

There are larger microwaves out there, but I went with this size because I didn't want something that hung too low over my stove. I'm just heating things up in it and cooking some veggies... not preparing a 20 pound turkey!

I loved it even more when I got it home. Unfortunately, my old cabinets are closer to the stove than I thought, and installing the microwave that close would not have been up to code.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked up this microwave to replace a 5 year old upper end Maytag unit. Did a little research and this Samsung unit was very close to the same dimensions as the Maytag. When installing I was happy to see the mounting bracket was identical to the Maytag bracket, thus I didn't have to mount a new bracket, and the top mounting holes in the Samsung lined up perfectly with the existing Maytag cabinet holes. Total installation time around 15 minutes...the hardest part was putting in the charcoal filter. The Samsung looks better then the Maytag, but does not have as many features . The touchpad is "stiffer" then the Maytag, and takes some getting used to. The Samsung is also louder "microwaving", and using the exhaust fan. Let's hope it lasts longer !
