    Beautiful Microwave

Bought this to replace my Maytag that won't heat up anymore, and it works great. Didn't even have to change the holes for the bracket to hang it. The best thing is it looks so beautiful.

    Does the job, amateur quality

It works, I guess. The buttons are hard to push, and the logo is crooked. The under light is so dim it's basically useless. I had to search for a bright LED replacement that would fit the socket. I found only one bulb that would work, and it flickers sometimes, but at least it's usefully bright. Not Samsung's fault but it's their fault for including such a dim light that does nothing. It cost me $300 to have it installed, so, not going to incur extra costs for replacement over a crooked logo, but that is terribly poor quality control. It's such an eyesore. I have doubts this product will last.

    Meh

The unit is a basic microwave and it works for that. But the 2 items I do not like: 1. key pad is not easy to press and sometimes you must press on it a few times to get it to register and 2. This sounds like a small thing but it's actually big. You cannot run the microwave and timer at the same time. It's something our previous one had and you'd be surprised how many times you use it that way.

    Frustrated with door and keypad

I would return this thing if I had not already put too much money into the install. I am so frustrated with the door because after you heat something you cannot just swing the door shut or it will keep running. Not cooking, just running. I called Samsung about it and they said you have to hold the handle in the middle to shut it or it will do that. And, there is nothing wrong with it. How dumb!! Then the keypad is frustrating because you have to push on it hard and not go too fast or it will not keep up. I hate using it because I just get mad! It cooks great and looks great. That is the only reason I gave it 2 stars.

    Very Nice Basic Microwave

This is a very nice basic microwave. Works well, looks nice, light weight and fairly quiet. Installation was aided greatly via the paper templates you put right on the wall for marking your holes. The exhaust fans work great, they have 2 speeds and can be shut off when not needed. I installed a through-wall vent to exhaust outside (you can also rotate fans to exhaust up or recirculate (default)), really helps you home from smelling like yesterday's fish. No extra stuff you don't need anyway, it just works. Very happy with purchase.

Average Microwave with a few Negatives

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I've had it about six months. Got a good price with free shipping. I wish I would have spent a little more. The body is slightly larger than the microwave it replaced, although the stated dimensions were an exact match. I had to redo some tile work to accommodate the larger size. The microwave cooks as it should, but the touch pad is not very sensitive. This can lead to mis-entered cook times or cook functions. Nothing has been overcooked, yet, but it can be frustrating to have to re-enter the numbers, especially after being used to a more sensitive touch screen. The rotating plate inside seems a little small; it could take up more area and make it more convenient to cook larger items.

    3rd one I've owned

I just bought this to replace a Samsung unit that is its great grandfather . . . ten years old when it died. Over ten years, I had to replace the control circuit panel and the door microswitches. A pretty easy DYI project. Cheaper than a new one. Well, it finally quit, so to Best Buy I go, cash in hand. We don't do anything fancy in a microwave, so I'm glad to get something decent at a decent price. I'm a bit irked that Samsung changed the mount from a bracket with arms to a bar the bottom fits into. I mean, when I installed the now defunct one, all I had to do was slide it into the same bracket. Now . . . no

We got this microwave a week ago and simply love it. The device heats food up very quickly and is so quiet you can barely hear it running. We love this microwave and recommend it to anybody.

I purchased this back in beginning of November but due to the busy delivery schedule, it was not delivered until after Turkey Day. Not a problem, my existing one was still working. However, once the delivery was made, the installer from the subcontractor was excellent. Uninstalled the existing 16 year old over-the-range microwave and then put this one in. What a difference in looks and performance. Way more cooking features and heats everything up quickly. Had it for about 2 weeks now and I'm very happy with it.

The microwave works perfectly, and the buttons for suggested cooking like the potato works awesome. It is easy to clean and the fan exhaust works really good to get the smell out of the kitchen.

Oooh, Samsung! Gotta be good, right? I read the reviews here before choosing this model to replace our 15 year old GE Profile. I was stoked when this arrived, then the disappointment sank in. The box was in good shape, but the unit itself was slightly damaged (bent cover), perhaps before being boxed up? Shiny and new, but this one I received has buttons so hard to push that my 9 year old daughter cannot use it. On top of that, there are no convenience buttons that came into vogue 20 years or more ago. You can't just touch (push hard in this case) the number 1 button to get a minute of nuking. No, you must press 6 then 0 then start. Big deal, having to push two more buttons, right? That's so 90's! The point is my toaster is more sophisticated than this museum relic. Samsung could have recycled old smart phone screens to use on this instead of using this archaic button-smashing method. And yes, the cheap bastages used a 100 year old style incandescent bulb instead of their top notch led lights. Barely get any light out of this old flashlight bulb. So far I've written just whiny stuff, but on top of that this thing is noisier than my old GE, and there is a disconcerting frequent grinding noise located I believe in the turn table area. Other than the using parts salvaged from 1990's microwave productions, this unit does nuke well, but no better than any other comparably-priced MW. Spend a few more dollars and get a GE, wish I did, and probably will eventually.
