Missing part and poor customer service outcome
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off, the microwave arrived later than the shipping estimate. Upon installing, we realized it was missing the turn plate. I called Best Buy and was given the choice to send back the whole microwave and pay up front for a new one with the assumption of being reimbursed (outrageous). We were referred to Samsung customer service per the manufacturer's warranty since we didn't want to take down all our hard work to send back a microwave just for a missing turn plate. I have now sent confirmation of my order twice since customer service was entirely unable to retrieve my email and they still haven't confirmed that they are sending the plate. It seems ridiculous to have to go to all this trouble for a glass plate. Who is contacting Samsung just to try to get free turn plates? You'd think they were a highly sought after commodity that people are constantly trying to fraudulently acquire.

Microwave breaks after 1 year of use
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had this microwave installed a year ago and within a week of installation the microwave would continue running while it was plugged in and the touchpad would not respond to turn it off. It also would not heat while in this mode, the light would be on and the plate would be turning. I had service done on it and 6 months later we had the same problem. A year out, I again had this same issue but now of course I am out of warranty. Servicing is more than the price of the microwave so I am not even going to bother. What a waste of money and a useless product.

First one i owned went out, the second lit on fire

I had never had an issue before with it and my kitchen fit it exactly so i decided to replace it with the exact same microwave. Today less than 7 months from my purchase while heating up soup in a microwave safe container it started to make sparking noises and flashing. I ran over turned it off. when i opened it the right side was melting and smoldering. The container in there was microwave safe and i was heating soup.

Horrible Experience
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the microwave for my grandparents as a gift and everything worked fine... FOR 11 MONTHS! At month eleven I had to have a technician come out 3 times. The microwave worked for 2 days after each service call... then stopped heating again. Now that the one year warranty is up I'll have to wait and see if they honor it since the issues started in the 11th month. Over the past two years I've had issues with a Samsung refrigerator and washing machine! From now on the only thing I'll buy from Samsung is a cell phone. :(

It lasted one year...and two weeks

The fan runs, the clock runs, the light works, but it doesn't do its primary function, which is to heat food. Fortunately, we purchased the extended warranty. We're now microwave-less and will be for another week, over the holiday weekend with out of town company. The Geek Squad was here for the eighth visit for my Samsung refrigerator and diagnosed this with a double Samsung ticket. I'm done with Samsung.

Awful Microwave - Died After 1 Year

One and 2 weeks year after I bought this microwave, it suddenly died (2 weeks after the warranty expired). Samsung agreed to fix it, but I had to pay a $90 labor fee... Now, 6 months later, the microwave has died. Again. Google "samsung microwave died no power", and you'll see that my experience is not unique. Besides the aforesaid enormous flaw, the microwave did not cook evenly and was very prone to hot spots.

Beware "Open-Box" Like "New" Condition

The device sounded like it was about to explode, like a transformer that was overloading along with grinding fans and intense vibrations. The device was nowhere near new condition. I plan to return the device to the store.

Broken terrible Samsung CS

They have the worst customer service EVER, claim the serial number is wrong, then it's right, then they can't locate the ticket! I figure they'll drag the process out until the the 1 year warranty runs out.
