I was replacing a Whirlpool microwave in the same price range. I would have purchased another Whirlpool because the microwave served us well and we had it for over 15 years. The problem was there was only 3 ranges with the smaller dimensions to fit into the existing space, and Whirlpool wasn't one of them. It seems all the brands have grown larger with all the bells and whistles. It would have been a headache to fit the larger microwaves into the space. Unfortunately, this one has less bells on it than my old microwave. I will miss the auto 30 sec button very much, and also the hot beverage button. It also sounds and feels more plastic, not as well made. It seems I have taken a step backward...but it fits the space and works.

I see you are having some concerns with your Samsung Microwave. This unit does have a "+30 sec". The button is located in between the start and stop buttons. You are able to use this button to add thirty seconds at anytime. Thank you for choosing Samsung. ^Brad
Affordable Over the Range Microwave

Decided to update our appliances and this particular model matched our others and was super affordable. Only drawback with this model is it doesn't offer the one-click express option that many other models offer, which was my reasoning for giving it 4 stars. Otherwise, it's a great range.

Simple microwave

Ended up exchanging the 1.6 Samsung for the 1.8 Samsung because it felt cheap. However, the holes to attach the 1.8 microwave to cabinet are different from my broken 1.8 Samsung - as well as the 1.6 Samsung. Aargh...Annoying! Now I have to drill more holes in cabinet to hang the new 1.8 Samsung.
