Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just had this unit installed today. It is louder than the GE model I had prior to this. Loud enough that I find it annoying if you are sitting in the kitchen and talking to others. The biggest problem is that the control panel does not light up except for the clock. I cannot see the numbers and have to use a flashlight in order to see the numbers and commands on the panel. This is inconvenient and not practical at all. Heats up well. Finger Resistant feature is nice.

Also when you touch the door a certain way the microwave STARTS on its own and pushing the STOP button does not shut it off. You have to open the door or unplug it. That is very dangerous. Took it back for a refund.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.From day one the fan turns on if you touch the handle even if you're not using the microwave. Just passing by the handle will cause the fan to go on and stay on. A Samsung tech came out and said this is completely normal. Well, we bought our home in a brand new community and we all have the same Samsung appliances that came with the house and no one else has a their fan turn on from the handle when you're not using the microwave so how could that be normal. I think the tech didn't want to bother taking care of the problem. Also, the touch screen and the door are terribly marked and impossible to clean. Fingerprint free is a joke. The microwave is less then 4 months old but I'm afraid the fan is going to burn out the motor sooner than later since it goes on so often.
