It is installed where my former hood was, over the oven. I still need to hire someone to hook up the electrical wires because It came ready to plug into an outlet and our hood had been hardwired. I hope that it will work well.

Posted .Thanks for the feedback, Caseydog. We appreciate your comments and I'll be happy to pass them along to the appropriate team. The ME18H704SFS has a powerful 400 CFM exhaust fan which was designed to be no louder than less powerful fans in other models. However, it may be worthwhile for you to check the installation to make sure the blower motor is angled correctly for the type of venting you're using, and other parts are secured correctly to prevent them from contributing to the noise level.
