First one was purchased brand new and lasted about a year and a half. Heat element died, and I did not opt for the extended warranty my first time around. Being that this is a decently priced unit for the features and size, I gave it a second go about. From the info I have read, my issue was not common so that's why I gave it 4/5 stars and a second try. If you have a CC that offers extended warranty coverage, use that cc over any other one.

For a safety concern for children it's fine they can't start it until the door is closed. I'm sure they can figure it out fast enough though.

Exhaust is slightly noisy but still effective, if you are leaving in a town house or appt and if HOA doesn’t permit you to install exhaust/ vent duct then this product is the best option

Smoke or steam from the stove is not sucked up by the exhaust fan. You can actually see smoke going up the outside of the microwave.
