I purchased this microwave less than 3 years ago and it just died. Everything works, it just won't heat the food! I have NEVER had a microwave fail this soon! They claim there is a 10 year warranty on the magnetron , but it does NOT cover labor, which means its almost the same price as buying a new one!!!!! All my appliances are Samsung, this is the last one I will purchase!!!!

Samsung Tech stated it is designed to only removes smoke and odors when installed as recirculating. Does not remove steam or grease. Front of Microwave gets very wet. Ventilation system is extremely noisy.

I bought this microwave from BB two years ago and it stopped turning on because the door switches broke. Luckily it was covered. One year and 9 months later it turns on, timer counts down but nothing happens. Of course it's out of warranty and it will cost upwards of $200 to get it fixed by a technician. CR rated Samsung microwaves as having the highest rate of repairs and they can add this one to that list. Never buying a Samsung microwave again!

Bought ours in December 2014, and first, the handle broke off once it was only a couple months past 1 year. This apparently happens a lot with this microwave and Samsung will happily sell you another for $30 plus $8 shipping. For a plastic handle. And that's with me installing the fix. And now, just under two years old, it has bit the dust. Won't power on. Samsung will happily come and repair it for ~$300. About $50 more than the cost of the unit. Absolute fail. Will never buy something from them again. If you do buy this, make sure to get the 5 year Best Buy extended warranty. I'll bet you a new microwave you'll need it.

Nice black stainless steel with a sleek appearance. The microwave only lasted 3 years and stopped working a month after the warranty ended. I am rating it 3 stars because the life expectancy should have been longer.

It replaces our larger countertop microwave, but saves us countertop space and then vent out smoke from cooking.

While the reviews looked great for this microwave, we've had it less than a year and the touch control panel has quit working. But minor annoyances are: the timer only notifies you once and it's very quiet; we miss our one touch cook times; And it sticks out much further than our last one. Definitely an inferior product.

Installation was a pain with this unit. The nuts that accept the self aligning bolts fell out. After struggling with Samsung to get replacements sent I ended up having to buy them myself. Support was atrocious. Template provided could be better. GE template is so much easier. As for the microwave, it was OK. On etching I was shocked to learn was you could use the timer and heat something g at the same time.

This microwave, Model: ME18H704SFS Does it's job, when forced. Appliances like these should make things easier, more convenient and should compliment life. It barely cracks the "almost convenient" mark. The 2 reasons I bought this model was its size/capacity and it matches the rest of my subpar Samsung set. First, it takes a guesstimated 20 ft-lbs of pressure to get the resultant button to register your request. And second, I really miss the GE "Express Cook" one touch 1-5 buttons. You know, put food in and press #2 and it just starts cooking for 2 minuets type of buttons. This Samsung microwave makes you push HARD on: 2, 0, 0, Start - to get the same result ONE normal button push on #2 with a GE microwave. My fault for not exercising my due diligence. Again, do yourself a favor and get a GE. -Mic Drop #2!

It looks pretty, it matches our Samsung appliance suite, we used it maybe once or twice a week and it DIED after 3 years of use. It still turns on and pretends like it's cooking, but it doesn't heat food. Also, the microwave will not let you run a timer AND heat up food at the same time, when you set a timer (say for something you have out on the BBQ grill) you can't use the microwave to heat up your veggies. It doesn't seem to evenly heat food either, but it is very easy to clean.

This microwave cooks well but I find that for the price it is unworthy. My main gripe is this. Every microwave oven I have ever owned allows me to use the timer AND cook at the same time. This one does NOT. That is really inconvenient! Thus only 2 stars
