Samsung makes great products & this is one of them

This microwave has good features for its price, but no microwave should break after only 2 yrs. Just went dead, no power, lights or anything. Given the number of other reviewers with similar problems, I would not recommend this microwave to anyone.

We've had 2 GE microwaves and niether of them lasted longer than 3 yrs. That is why we went with the samsung. We're hoping this one does. And you can't beat the 10 yr. warrenty on the megatron! This really sold us. I also liked that it has the ECO button.

So far, so good! Bought this to replace my Panasonic Inverter Microwave that died after just 5 years. This one took different brackets, but was overall pretty easy to install. I like to sleek look, adds light to the kitchen. It is quieter than other microwaves and seems to work great. Just installed this morning, but am sure it will do just fine. Did loads of research before purchasing this unit. I am sure the time will be worth it. I like that I can change the sounds to a preference of my own, not just the factory presets.

The installation was easy, but the actual operation is just OK. The touchpad is not illuminated and the lettering is hard to see. The actual microwaving is fine.

The best looking on the market, sensor heat works great and over all vary nice . Installs easy nice templates for screw holes!

It's very loud on microwave function. It's as loud as my 10 year old one was right before it shut off and died. The the fan mode is just as loud. The light is very dim but gets very hot. The door feels flimsy but it difficult to get to latch shut. You nearly have to slam it to get it to latch. The display panel: The clock is so dim you can not read it from more than 5 feet away, it's blue so it's extra hard to see and there is not dimmer to brighten or adjust this, the display buttons have to pushed pretty hard to work, there is no easy on button (you have to push a number then also push start, even on the add 30 seconds button you then have to push start. The 10 year old unit I am replacing had a 'minute' button that auto turned on.) And even though it's available in white the door window is tinted so you can't see what your food is doing. I am completely disappointed with the microwave. I do NOT recommend it!

This is a powerfull microwave. The sensor cooking and defrost are always spot on, and I love the way that the bottoms save me time.

we love every feature this microwave has to offer, not to mention is looks so sharp above our new Samsung gas range.

DO NOT BUY THIS MICROWAVE. I did and I regret it. I did plenty of research. I read reviews from people who experienced what they called an SE error and had to have a tech come out and fix it. I thought, na, that won't happen to me. Well, it just did and now I have to have a Samsung tech some out to fix it. Thank god it broke before my warrantee expired. Most of the users on the message boards got this SE error after their warrantee expired. The cost to fix is about what I paid. Even though my service call is covered it is going to take a week to get someone out to fix it, and they don't make Saturday or Sunday appointments so I have to take time off from work. And who knows, it will probabally break again after my warrantee expires and I will have to throw it out and by something else. Please save yourself time and money by purchasing a different microwave, even if it costs more than this one, please!

I have always had Samsung microwaves. You can't go wrong with them. This has many features and works great.

Rating is only good due to last Samsung microwave (almost same model) only lasted 1 and 1/2 years before "biting the dust". Hopefully this one lasts longer since I built it in over the range. This required taking out molding etc.

Purchased this microwave right before Thanksgiving. It had to be delivered fm the warehouse b/c none were available in-store at the time. We did not take it out of the box until Christmas. Although it was brand new, there was a dent on the side. It was hard to install because the dent pushed the corner out but we made it work. Now I am worried the damage may affect the performance down the road. I wish we had just taken it back for a replacement, but the inconvenience overrode that idea. It seems to be working fine, but so far we have used it for only simple things. At this time I would say it's your average microwave. 3 1/2 stars.

Heading back to Best Buy to buy another microwave this weekend. Our Samsung microwave looks great but lasted only 2 years before we started having keypad problems. The SE code can be cleared for a while by opening the keypad and cleaning the ribbon with an eraser! But after doing that every few days for 6 months we give up. Time to buy another microwave. Problem is all our appliances are stainless steel Samsung and they match. Can't believe so many customers have this same issue. Very frustrating

So sad... I typically like Samsung products, I have a phone, laptop, washer & dryer, etc. all from Samsung and they have been good solid products, till now. Purchased this microwave on Nov. 4, 2011 and it died on us early January 2013. Now I never buy the warranties, I believe that the manufacture should stand behind their products and if you send good money on a product, it should last and you know how this story ends... the microwave just died. No power whatsoever. House circuits weren't tripped, plugged other items into the outlet and they worked fine so it wasn't the GFCI outlet either... Called Samsung and they basically told me too bad, should have bought the warranty. lol Love the customer support and how they valued my business.... They frankly didn't care one bit, but they did offer to schedule a service for about $200 - $230. Microwaved cost me about $300 after taxes, so that just did not make sense to take a chance on it not being able to be repaired by the service company. Took the microwave down figured, what the heck, can't break it anymore then it is now and took off the casing. Found two fuses and decided to replace them. They are on the very top, kind of hidden and run parallel to the microwave door. Fuses cost me $3.20 (20Amp Bussman) from Home Depot. Put them in and... it worked. Go figure, I almost threw a $300 microwave away when $3.20 fixed it. Now, lets see how it lasts... Good luck on your search!

Matches my existing ovens and cook-top which is why I bought it. Quiet, seems to cook well. Has a boatload of fancy features that are too hard to learn to use.

Bought this as an open box/display unit. Handle was missing but Best Buy ordered me a new one at no charge. I microwave worked perfectly and we really liked it. Cooked food evenly and quickly.

Installation of this unit was easy because of the template. This microwave is very attractive, and has thus far worked very well.

Only complaint I have is that the night light bulb or cooking bulb is not bright enough

I purchased this microwave thinking that it was a very good quality microwave. 1 month out of the warranty, It turns on by itself and stops on its own in the middle of use. Samsung would not assist me to get this fixed and their website states that I will be responsible for the cost of fixing it. There are several people online that talk about this same thing happening in other Samsung models. No easy fix listed yet. They say the computer board has to be replaced. What a shame.
