I have always had Samsung microwaves. You can't go wrong with them. This has many features and works great.

Rating is only good due to last Samsung microwave (almost same model) only lasted 1 and 1/2 years before "biting the dust". Hopefully this one lasts longer since I built it in over the range. This required taking out molding etc.

Heading back to Best Buy to buy another microwave this weekend. Our Samsung microwave looks great but lasted only 2 years before we started having keypad problems. The SE code can be cleared for a while by opening the keypad and cleaning the ribbon with an eraser! But after doing that every few days for 6 months we give up. Time to buy another microwave. Problem is all our appliances are stainless steel Samsung and they match. Can't believe so many customers have this same issue. Very frustrating

So sad... I typically like Samsung products, I have a phone, laptop, washer & dryer, etc. all from Samsung and they have been good solid products, till now. Purchased this microwave on Nov. 4, 2011 and it died on us early January 2013. Now I never buy the warranties, I believe that the manufacture should stand behind their products and if you send good money on a product, it should last and you know how this story ends... the microwave just died. No power whatsoever. House circuits weren't tripped, plugged other items into the outlet and they worked fine so it wasn't the GFCI outlet either... Called Samsung and they basically told me too bad, should have bought the warranty. lol Love the customer support and how they valued my business.... They frankly didn't care one bit, but they did offer to schedule a service for about $200 - $230. Microwaved cost me about $300 after taxes, so that just did not make sense to take a chance on it not being able to be repaired by the service company. Took the microwave down figured, what the heck, can't break it anymore then it is now and took off the casing. Found two fuses and decided to replace them. They are on the very top, kind of hidden and run parallel to the microwave door. Fuses cost me $3.20 (20Amp Bussman) from Home Depot. Put them in and... it worked. Go figure, I almost threw a $300 microwave away when $3.20 fixed it. Now, lets see how it lasts... Good luck on your search!

Installation of this unit was easy because of the template. This microwave is very attractive, and has thus far worked very well.

Bought this as an open box/display unit. Handle was missing but Best Buy ordered me a new one at no charge. I microwave worked perfectly and we really liked it. Cooked food evenly and quickly.

Only complaint I have is that the night light bulb or cooking bulb is not bright enough

I purchased this microwave thinking that it was a very good quality microwave. 1 month out of the warranty, It turns on by itself and stops on its own in the middle of use. Samsung would not assist me to get this fixed and their website states that I will be responsible for the cost of fixing it. There are several people online that talk about this same thing happening in other Samsung models. No easy fix listed yet. They say the computer board has to be replaced. What a shame.

Installation was difficult and it was replacing an existing mqicrowave. I purchased it because of its higher powered fan and it is awesome. It cooks quickly and quietly. It got top ratings from consumer reports and I an enjoying it

Great looking microwave. Matched our other appliances. Worked great - for one year. Bought it on April 1 2011 - just died on April 8 2012. Just spent an hour and 1/2 trying to get someone who freaking cares on the phone with NO success. UGH! If you buy this - buy the extended warranty - it will be worth it.

bought my microwave in oct 2011 and by july 2012 we had to contact samsung and have someone come and service it. the part that heats the food quit working. customer service was great and we didnt have to pay anything because it had a one year manufacture warranty. other than that it is a great microwave.

If you can find this one on sale, buy it! The build quality of the stainless steel leaves a bit to be desired. Other than the build quality it does what it should.

I installed this product and noticed the door did not shut properly. It rubbed at the top and when finally closed the lines were off, ie the top of the micro door sloped downward so it was 1/8th inch lower than the top of the control panel. All other door parts where shifted down 1/8th inch and very noticeable. The rep said it was not first he had seen like that. It appears too much play in the hinges. Can't believe it was CR "Best Buy".

Installation relatively straightforward. Fan rotates for internal-to-house venting.

This is a solid performer, but don't expect anything too fancy. I would buy it again if I was buying a microwave.

Overall, product works fine, the light could be brighter, and the glass cover mysteriously crack. Attempting to get it replaced. When installing the microwave we noticed it did not include a side bracket that would help keep the microwave more secure. I was fortunate that my old microwave already had this bracket.

I'm sorry, but a microwave should last more than two years. Mine lasted just enough that the warranty expired, but not long enough to make it worth the price. The features were average, ease of use average, but the stainless easily dented and scratched, and the door latch is completely malfunctioning, thus providing a another opportunity for duct tape to prove it's wide applicability while I go out shopping for the third microwave in six years. Would somebody explain, if this is the case, that kitchen appliances are now disposable, in which case the price should reflect this reality. Or maybe I have the formula all wrong. Maybe the fact that the cheap microwave that I bought for the office, and is still going strong after five years, is a clue to how these things work. BTW, the thing died last year just after the warranty expired, but to Samsung's credit, they fixed it. Guess they knew what a lemon they produced.

We purchased the microwave on 12/17/11. On 12/24/11 we noticed that the door was hard to open. Once we pulled the door open we found that the plastic from a three inch section on the door had melted. We removed it and exchanged it that day for a new one. We will update the review when we have had time to use this one.

Great features. Love the quick start and food presets.
