I had a hard time finding a black microwave oven, as everything now is stainless steel, and I had to match the color to my other appliances. It is easy to use. Setting the clock is tricky, as it is done by pushing illogical combination of buttons, though.

Even with a low end model, for a 30sec quick run, just press 30sec and then it will run. On this model have to press 30sec and then press Start button again to run.

At 1000 watts it is slightly less powerful than my former microwave. It does not have any 1, 2 or 3 minute quick cook buttons. I do miss that feature.

Congratulations on your new Samsung Microwave. I see that you are having issues with this control panel. Do know that this push button control panel works best when using the pads of your fingers. There is another panel that we make on some models with a touch glass panel. Thank you for choosing Samsung. ^Brad
