With my home being 25 years old they only had wiring for a range hood and no actual outlet. I didn’t want to hire a electrician so I returned this item and purchased a range hood. Disappointed that the salesmen didn’t ask what type of hookup we had.

It was a Samsung over the range microwave it was in the box when we received it in our home it was bent on both sides, bent in the front. The gentleman told me to come and look at it, and when I looked at it, I was shocked. I end up going to Lowe’s to buy me a nice beautiful microwave. It was over the range microwave.

Poor quality AVOID, Samsung customer service BAD

Opened the door as usual and the handle snapped off where it attaches at the top. Filed a lengthy claim report with Samsung via “AI” assistant, and was supposed to be contacted the following day but almost a week later and nothing. Now the warranty is expired. Poorly made cheap junk, I would recommend avoiding Samsung microwaves (or at least this model). Looking online it seems the handle on these is a common failure. For an appliance to last less than a year is appalling.

I recommend this product but not Best Buy. Best Buy service is very poor ie late, no coordination of people involved in installation, customer service is very poor.

We had trouble with it from day one and are now awaiting a replacement for it. There appears to be an electrical issue with the unit. No problems with the microwave that was installed in the basement. The only difference in the two was the color.

Making sure that your microwave to use day-to-day for cooking is our priority.
If the door is not completely shut, the microwave may run but will not heat. Use a damp cloth to wipe the door and frame of the microwave; debris could be preventing it from closing properly.
